Review: These speakers are good, the brand has a good reputation, but, I was expecting better highs. Sound is like a powerful mid range. I didn't return them, I place them in my truck - not in my sports....
Review: I was trying to come up with a good title for this review and this is all I can come up with. I got my 2010 Harley Ultra Classic and the stereo was all stock, it sounded terrible so I got the Rockford head unit and the $400 speakers, it sounded better but not amazing. I added the Rockford 1500x5 amp and quickly killed the Rockford speakers but I expected that since it was twice what they were rated for. I installed some Boston neo speakers rated to stand up to the power and they did but the sound wasn't what I expected. I finally upgraded to these DS18 speakers, I wasn't expecting much of an upgrade. First they didn't fit under my fairing and I almost pulled them and put the Bostons back in but decided to listen to them first and 5 seconds in I knew they they HAD to stay in! Wow, they changed my entire system! They're louder and more clear at 15 than the others were at 30, no more distortion or garage sound! I ride with my helmet and didn't realize how bad the others sounded at first, these sound incredible! The build quality is great, they're heavy and solid, far beyond the Rockford pair that cost more than twice the price of two of these. 100% I'm hooked and will upgrade to these from now on, you won't go wrong with DS18!

**Q: Has anyone put these in a 21 road glide trying to see if they fit in the frount**
A: Not going to fit. Pod has to be modded some just like the diamond audio do and such.  So no they are not drop in fit

**Q: Will this fit front fairing of 2012 harley electra glide ?**
A: Only the shallow mount hybrid ds18 will fit

**Q: Is he speaker sold as a pair**
A: No. They are sold as singles

**Q: Do anyone know about the speaker at all DS18 hybrids 6.5**
A: ive had them in my front doors for a few months on taramps ds2000 @ 4/2 ohms and they see my volume at 30 for long periods of time every day and still sound great(knock on wood).i did have to open the 6.5 hole up a little and put spacers in so the windows didnt hit them.hope this helps.
