Fui diagnosticado con Keratocono, mi doctora me proporcionó un insertor y me enseñó a usarlo. Esto me resultaba complicado y tras ucha practíca, ya podía insertarme mi lente de contacto en unos pocos intentos, sin embargo me tomaba mucho tiempo. Luego vi recomendaciones de cortar la base de mi insertor para que con una luz pudiera ser mas facil enfocar un punto, esto me facilitó mucho, pero me estorbaba la mano a la hora de insertar mi lente al tomar con mi nariz, debía acomodarme en una posición muy incómoda y me temblaba el pulso. Adquirí este soporte y todo fue muchísimo mas simple y rápido. Adapté una lampara para la base y en el primer intento me pude poner mi lente muy facilmente. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Hay muchos comentarios sobre el precio, pero la verdad es mínimo al lado de el costo de un lente escleral y sobre todo de el tiempo que te toma.

Absolutely amazing! As someone new to scleral lenses, I was initially sceptical about whether this stand would really make a difference or be worth the investment. I can now say with confidence that it absolutely is. Before using the stand, I struggled with bubbles and often had to attempt insertion three or four times each day, which quickly became frustrating. With the DMV Scleral Stand, I get the lens in correctly on the first try almost every time. It has completely transformed the process from a chore into something simple and reliable. It does take a few practice runs to build confidence and find a routine that works for you, but once you do, it’s a game-changer. A quick tip that might help: I place the stand on a white surface (a tissue works well) and use my phone’s torch to illuminate the base. For my left eye, I hold my right eyelid closed with my right hand and use my left hand to hold my left eyelids open wide. This way, I can focus properly. As you lower your eye over the lens, look for the ring of light around it—that’s how you know you’re aligned. Then gently lower your head with confidence, and the lens will settle comfortably. The only downside is that it’s not available directly from the UK, but even with that inconvenience, I highly recommend this product. If you are having issues inserting lenses, this can help. With my scleral lenses I was able to insert them quite easily. Wearing them every day with both eyes now.
