FE 20-70 mm F4 G | G Full-frame Standard Zoom Lens (SEL2070G)

It's been doing very well with my Sony A7iv. You can never go wrong with this lens..

Cet objectif est vraiment le chaînon manquant toujours vissé sur mon A7RV. Bien sûr on aurait aimé qu’il ouvre à f/2 mais je penses que techniquement c’est le meilleur rapport poids/encombrement/luminosité/focale que l’on peut espérer aujourd’hui. Cet objectif a un piquet parfait et un bokey doux pour un f/4 Je recommande

Ich nutze das Objektiv an meinen beiden Sony Vollformatkameras (A7R V und A7C). Das Objektiv wird in diversen Tests hochgelobt für seine exzellenten Abbildungsleistungen, was ich absolut bestätigen kann. Bereits mit Offenblende werden extrem gute Schärfeleistungen erreicht, auch in den äußeren Randbereichen. Probleme mit CA's konnte ich bislang nicht feststellen. Im direkten Vergleich mit dem ebenfalls sehr guten Sony 24-105 mm f4 G (SEL24105G) hat das 20-70 mm klare Vorteile hinsichtlich Schärfeleistung in den weitwinkligen Brennweiten, obwohl auch das SEL24105G hier nicht schlecht war. In den Telebrennweiten ist das SEL24105G etwas besser, aber die Unterschiede sind hier marginal und zu vernachlässigen. Unterm Strich ein tolles Objektiv, welches eindrucksvoll zeigt, was heutzutage möglich ist, auch an einer hochauflösenden 61 Megapixelkamera. Die Abbildungsleistungen bewegen sich auf dem Niveau guter Festbrennweiten. Dazu ist es kompakter und rund 200 g leichter als das SEL24105G. Ein tolles Immerdrauf. Da die A7R V einen APS-C Modus mit immer noch 24 Megapixeln bietet, kommt man auf effektiv 105 mm Brennweite, insofern vermisse ich nichts und werde wahrscheinlich das SEL24105G verkaufen. Hinsichtlich Design, Haptik und Verarbeitung gibt es übrigens keinerlei Unterschiede zu den G-Master Objektiven. Leider ist das Filtergewinde aus Kunststoff - wie bei fast allen neueren Sony Objektiven.

You don't need me to tell you any G lens from Sony will be good. There are hundreds of professional reviews that will confirm this lens is very good. I bought this as a replacement for a 24-105 G lens as it is significantly lighter, and I hoped it would make the handling of my A7R somewhat less burdensome. If I'm honest I can't tell the difference. In hindsight I might not have splashed out on this for the marginal gain in lightness. I can't fault the performance of the lens, and will keep it regardless. Should I have bought a couple of primes instead? Maybe, but I've had issues with crud on the sensor before, so try and minimise swapping lens as much as possible. As they say, your milage may vary, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with this lens if you don't already have something similar.
