A hilarious, irreverent book about doing your own thing Meet Iggy Peck―creative, independent, and not afraid to express himself! In the spirit of David Shannon’s No, David and Rosemary Wells’s Noisy Nora, Iggy Peck will delight readers looking for irreverent, inspired fun. Iggy has one passion: building. His parents are proud of his fabulous creations, though they’re sometimes surprised by his materials―who could forget the tower he built of dirty diapers? When his second-grade teacher declares her dislike of architecture, Iggy faces a challenge. He loves building too much to give it up! With Andrea Beaty’s irresistible rhyming text and David Roberts’s puckish illustrations, this book will charm creative kids everywhere, and amuse their sometimes bewildered parents. Also from the powerhouse author-illustrator team of Iggy Peck, Architect, is Rosie Revere, Engineer, a charming, witty picture book about believing in yourself and pursuing your passion. Ada Twist, Scientist, the companion picture book featuring the next kid from Iggy Peck's class, is available in September 2016. Review: Lots of mileage - There's so much in this book that you can appreciate and draw out. Simple, fun story; detailed drawings; buildings and architecture; rhyming. It is a bit American at times and I'd probably not give it 5 stars. But it wasn't for me! Bought it for a friend's daughter, who loved it. Now her little brother (3) is insisting on having it every night. Definitely recommended. Review: "That brilliant young man, Iggy Peck" - We first got hooked on this series with Rosie Revere - Engineer and Iggy Peck Architect doesn't disappoint. My son was 5 years old when I bought these books and we've read them regularly, talked about the stories in detail and been inspired to build as a result. Some of the dialect in all of these books is of course American, but doesn't detract from the stories at all. I love the idea that Iggy doesn't just build using conventional toys and materials and there's an important moral to the story too.

Beautiful illustrations and well written
My son likes it and I think it would be great for teachers to use in class with primary children as well. It's written in rhyme and is very entertaining with some lovely illustrations.

BRILLIANT! Exciting, clever, funny, interesting, a MUST have for a smart young child!
One of the best book we've ever had (and we have a lot as read 5-10 books with my little daughter EVERY evening!). At the moment I struggle to find good books for my nearly 4 year old daughter as she is very smart and already read so many since she was little, so most of the books for her age are now too basic, yet the ones for the next age group up are often too complicated or too long. THIS book is PERFECT for a smart young child, it's exciting, it's interesting, it's full of ideas, it's funny and memorable and teaches the child so many things! And I think it will still be just as exciting in a year or even two. A BRILLIANT buy, a wonderful investment into your child's library!

Lovely book.
Funny story with nice rhymes, perfect for reading aloud. The illustrations are good too and any child who enjoys building will appreciate this story. It is American and you may need to explain some of the words e.g. diaper but to be honest most children who watch cartoons on TV will probably be familiar with the language. Would recommend.

Iggy a good way to teach my child about yet another profession
The stylised illustrations as well as the story of going all out towards your passions is good way to tell the child about a new profession as much as standing for ones interests and passions

By Far the Best Book in this series
Iggy Peck is the bests book. My son loves it. The rhyming and cadence of the story is great. My son has basically memorized a good chuck on the book. Iggy is a loveable character. The story is funny and good. Illustration is nice! I enjoy reading this book to my child.

Who Doesn’t Love Iggy Peck?
A great book. My kid used to love it ages ago when we read it to him. We got this one as a gift for a grown up who just became an architect.
