The clear connector comes with the glass container. **Q: Is there a thermal insulation function?** A: No insulation. But to solve this I bought a stainless steel double wall wine cooler by OGGI Barware (for only $9 here on Amazon ) to put the milk cup on ice for more extended periods of time by the machine. It worked great! Milk stayed cold till evening resting on ice. Hope this helps! **Q: is there a connection to connect the hose from the coffee machine?** A: Yes.
