OXO Good Grips Nut & Seafood Cracker

Wow! These are the best nutcrackers I have ever used - look no further. They are solidly made and comfortable to use, capable of cracking the strongest of nuts. Slightly smaller than I expected, but just big enough for large wallnuts.

bought these as i could not find my other ones. when they arrived,i must admit they looked a bit flimsy. but upon trying them to crack some nuts,i was pleasantly surprised at how easily the nuts cracked. i have used them on brazil nuts,walnuts,almond nuts.this nutcracker breaks through the shells with ease. would recommend these. very pleased!.

These are really compact, though incredibly strong. They seem to get leverage through a clever connection point which eases its way through nuts including really hard ones like brazils and almonds.

It is quite small but easy to use as the handles feel comfortable as they are padded. It shatters the nuts rather than split them in half. OXO should consider making this larger to do the job even better to split the nuts rather than shatter them into small pieces.

After several tries at buying a whole variety of nutcrackers, finally here is one that works in all types of nuts. Brilliant!

Cracks almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts and brazil nuts with ease. Sturdy and durable, surprisingly lightweight. Bit more expensive but it’s worth it as you’ll never need another one.

Using this to crack nuts. It works great for all nuts I have tried, including almonds and brazil nuts. It's very well made and sturdy with a good grip. I also like that it's not too big so it looks quite classy and minimalist. I am annoying my spouse by telling them frequently how satisfying I find cracking nuts with this cracker, so I had to write a review instead.

This really is no good for the larger nuts. It does hazelnuts and almonds anything bigger than that and it slips. Beware of flying nut shells.. I haven’t used it on crab claws, but I think it would work a treat. It requires a fair bit of pressure if you have arthritis in your hands, I would give this one a miss.

I'm nuts about this product

I actually use these for planting/trans-planting my plants. The scoup end makes the hole for seed/plant and for getting them back out. The tiny prong side helps with trans planting the tiny plant so you don't break the roots of the plant. Works perfectly. Easy to use. This tool is sturdy and won't bend/break. Has a nice gripper to hold. The size of this tool is perfect for the job and it's not heavy at all. Love this tool.

Testé à la chaine sur une dizaines d'araignées de mer d'environ 1,5 kg pièce (carapace bien plus solide que celle d'un tourteau). Cette pince à crustacés s'avère très efficace excepté sur les segments de trop faible diamètre mais çà n'a aucune importance car on peut sortir la chair sans problème par rupture de l'articulation. L'axe se réouvre automatiquement ce qui permet de ne pas perdre de temps. Vraiment très pratique. Non testé sur des fruits à coque (noix, noisettes, amandes) car la forme semble très inadaptée vs un casse noix RÖSLE par exemple.
