These anchors are easy to use and a snap to install, but make sure the rods are fastened to a sturdy support. I had to add 2x4 bracing because my lovely gate material was so flimsy. The forms for the anchors I improvised from PVC pipe scraps scrounged from ACE Hardware. I poured rapid-set Quickcrete (red bag) and jiggled everything for about 10 minutes until it set.
