Rolson 82618 Stainless Steel Edging Knife with Ash Handle

I have never heard of Rolson, but after having a bad experience with a spear & jackson edging knife, I decided to take a punt on this mainly based on it's cosmetic appeal looking vintage. It's wooden handle is strong and the steel welding and attachment of the knife head to the wooden handle is good quality and strong. I have confidence in this.

This was delivered today, in the usual fast (one day), free and reliable Amazon Prime delivery. I've tried it out on a small section of the garden (before I do the rest) and first impressions are good. It does what you'd expect from half moon cutting garden tool and is quite easy to use. Seems sturdy and well made. Not the lightest, however I prefer having it that way. Reasonable priced garden tool. 4* given and not 5*, as only used it once. The further uses will see if it stands the test of time, however I remain optimistic.

I love a wooden handle with a strong stainless steel fork and this fits the bill

A good height edger for your lawn, however it is not as sharp as a high branded item, so hard work!

I was really surprised by the quality of this product for the price, it's excellent value. The tool looks like it's way more expensive, nevertheless it has performed admirably well in tidying up the edges of my lawn. I thoroughly recommend this!

I'm normally pretty good at purchasing good enough quality products at a reasonable price but this slipped through the net!! On the first day I used it, I edged about 10 metres of lawn and the metal neck snapped (see photo) rendering useless, and thus a waste of £14. I ended up purchasing the Bulldog half-moon spade - sooooo much better - it's a bit more expensive but at least I finished edging my lawn and I feel it will last me my lifetime and beyond - worth paying the extra!!

On 1st use, the handle broke. It is stained to look like hardwood, but obviously is softwood. A replacement isn't going to work if it is also softwood, so I purchased an ash hardwood handle for £6.47 and 10 rivets for £5.60 to repair. The blade is fine, albeit needs sharpening with a grinder, but with all those adjustments, saves the hassle of returning and trying a more expensive alternative. Update - full refund provided, happy now

Buono, tempi di consegna come stabilito e perfettamente rispondente alla descrizione. Rebbi della forca forse un po' troppo lunghi che tendono a sbilanciare lo strumento e manico leggermente corto, ma nel complesso molto meglio di quanto mi aspettassi.
