Best non-thunderbolt dock for SD
I used this dock off and on for the last 6 months, with extensive use for a month while I was traveling with my Steamdeck. This Sabrent dock is one of very few docks with 3 full-speed USB-A ports. I specifically needed all 3 because I wanted to use it with all the 2.4GHz wireless peripherals I use on my desktop, namely my ASUS keyboard, Logitech mouse, and EPOS headset, with low-profile USB-A dongles. In addition I used a portable HDMI monitor. They all worked perfectly in tandem, it was like I was using my desktop PC while I was traveling. The USB-C data port was a welcome bonus, which I used for an external drive in desktop mode. I tried the 3 USB-A 3.2 port JSAUX port before this that I thought met my needs. However, when under load the dock got too warm and distorted the wireless signal of my 2.4GHz dongles, resulting in skipped audio from the headphones, missed keystrokes from the keyboard *and* mouse skips, all at the same time, making it pretty unusable. No other dock had as many ports, and *definitely* not at this price point. Only ways this dock could have been more perfect: - A cable design for the main USB-C connection that was easier to tuck/remove/pack into a rectangle without straining the cable elbow - More visible labeling of the PD/USB-C ports, it's easy to get them mixed up if you don't use the dock daily, and annoying trying to shine a light on them to read the labels in black. - The ultimate thing I looked for in docks and failed: A full featured USB-C pass through port instead of just a data port, so I could connect it to a USB-C monitor (like the Steamdeck's own port allows) with charging. This would cut down the types of cables I need to bring when I travelled by 1 (the min-HDMI cable for my monitor which also supports USB-C). Apparently this is only available on thunderbolt docks.

Fits Steam Deck Well - Upated
Fits just fine and allows me to use my JSAUX rubber case in the dock too. Very happy. **Update** This dock is defective. It's very sporadic and disconnects all peripherals constantly. HDMI cuts out when this happens. The dock is hit or miss if it will send power to the Steam Deck even though the blue LED is lit up on the dock. Sending this back for a refund and choosing JSAUX. **Final Update** The dock is fine so don't be afraid to order it. I would even it didn't mean yet another return for the replacement I got. I did further tested after having the same issue with JSAUX dock. The issue is insufficient power delivery to the dock. I was using the 45W JSAUX power adapter since the Steam Deck came with a 45W. However, it does not handle the delivery the same. Swapping back and forth while running Elden Ring while docked and to an external monitor - the JSAUX brick would constantly cause drops in the Deck while the one Valve shipped did not. So, make sure you have a good enough or better power delivery to the dock - I'm ordering a 100W one just to cover it all.

Works 50% randomly brand new out box
Works 50% of the time flawlessly, 40% of the time hdmi output won't work, 10% of the time it won't charge steamdeck. Will be trying to replace and go for different brand. These are issues out of the box brand new. My hdmi anker & steamdeck brandnew issues clearly the poor quality dock.

First one was defective, second one works great.
The first unit I received had some sort of issue with the HDMI output, it would stop working after about 2 minutes and the only way to get it to come back on was to unplug it and plug it back in... only for it to stop working again 2 minutes later. Kind of frustrating, but its the first time I've ever had a problem with a Sabrent product so I am going to chalk it up to bad luck. The second unit I received has been working great, it just gets the job done, it allows me to use my Steam Deck on a larger screen and hook up other peripherals, which is exactly what I wanted. As a bonus, it also works well with my iPad Pro 11. There are a couple of little things I'd have preferred to be different, I don't like having all 3 of the USB-A type ports on the sides of the dock, they could have fit at least a couple on the back, but its not a big deal. The other thing worth noting is it does not have an ethernet port, which to me isn't an issue, I don't play competitive online games on my Steam Deck so I have no issue just using Wi-Fi. The USB-C data port on the back is nice to have, its something many other docks don't have. Overall it seems to be a good Deck dock, and at 1/3 the price of the official one, it's tough to beat.

2 years of heavy use and going strong.
Nearly 2 years later and this is still going strong. I absolutely love having this for my steam deck! While I bought the deck for the handheld portable ability, being able to play on the tv is just as important! I bought this dock specifically for the usb ports so I can still play games that aren’t very suitable for a controller or to bypass the dreaded steam keybinding to legendary skills in Skyrim. Plus the way it locks the deck into place while allowing airflow is super nice. This gets used heavily and haven’t had a single issue.

Not Compatible with the Legion Go S
The Sabrent docking station is a great option for owners of the Steam Deck and ROG Ally. It offers a compact, minimalist design that provides essential connectivity without cluttering your space. It's a plug-and-play solution that lets you easily connect your device to an external display (up to 4K@60Hz), a wired network, and various USB accessories. Some models even include a slot for an M.2 SSD to expand your storage, which is a fantastic feature. Unfortunately, this dock is a frustrating miss for owners of the Lenovo Legion Go S. The device is simply too thick to fit into the dock's cradle, making it unusable. I am incredibly disappointed that Sabrent doesn't mention a clear device thickness limit, as this is a fundamental compatibility issue that should be stated upfront. It's a shame that a well-designed dock for one set of handhelds completely fails with another due to a lack of clear specifications. If you own a Legion Go S, you will have to look for a different docking station to meet your needs.

Works I guess
I used it barely; it was sitting idle connected to the TV. Today I decided to connect the Steam Deck to it; it doesn't work. I would go with something better Update: started working randomly

Me approved
Had to buy 2 "different brands" this one has an extra USB c slot which you need one to charge and the other my controller wouldn't work with the USB to USB c cord but the USB c to USB c does. This one works much better.

cheaper than the original
I got recommended this dock instead of getting the original Steamdeck one. It works perfectly and does everything the other one does.
