Eagle Plug in Dimmer 13A Adjustable Light Control Switch

What a fantastic product, well made and works safely and very efficiently

Fantastic piece of equipment. I use this for a led non dimming bulb in our lamp and on the lowest setting it is the perfect brightness for the lamp position we use it for. For convenience we also plug the dimmer into a remote switch to save fiddling behind the tv to turn it on. Have had this for around a year and it’s been great.

As noted by several other purchasers, plug is being sold misleadingly as capable of 13 amps when it can only handle 1.2 (1.2A is on a label on the plug itself but not on the packaging). Will fail fairly quickly when used for most mains lights, don't purchase. I have informed the seller and Amazon but neither have taken action.

This product works as advertised, but if you are planning to use this for LEDs, please be aware that they have to be dimmable LEDs. If they are not, instead of dimming, they will simply flicker and flash.

Good product and value for money, need to use with dimmable bulbs.

Not the best quality and although it dims the outside garden lights it does not provide the range of lighting level adjustments that you would get from a good quality dimmer light switch

It works as expected so i am happy with it use it controls 2 Edison 40w light bulbs, dims them down (silently no hum) to completely 'off' then from very dim to full power with the rotary knob works exactly as intended no issues. Small compact and in use the rheostat it only gets slightly warm, no concerns. max wattage on unit is stated as 280watts which is easily more than I needed. tried it with a large 16inch pedestal fan to slow min speed, not very good loud hum and Fan not happy) not the dimmers fault, more Fan not compatible with dimmers which not surprise me ~ for the low price the Dimmer feels well built for plastic ~ would buy this Dimmer again

I opted for the plug in dimmer that was priced a couple of quid more than Amazon's only other choice. I thought with it being a little more money it would be better somhow. But in fact, I was disappointed. The control knob was awkward to turn, and it stopped working in two days. I returned it and ordered the CHEAPER version - and it's far better! Much easier to use and is plainly a better piece of kit. If you want one of these, I recommend the (cheaper!) 'EAGLE' brand.
