Amazing ESP32s, never had an issue with these.
These work better than the ESP32s that use USB-C. I bought them thinking they were USB-C cable type and when I opened the bag, I was like “ahhh shoot”, but to my surprise they worked better than any of the previous ESP32s I’ve used (which were USB-C). I never had a firmware uploading issue when using platform.io, anytime I pushed the code onto it, it worked 100% of the time (and trust me I’ve dealt with ESP32s that have issues with code uploads). Keep in mind they are not USB-C.

Great module!
I finally made the switch from Arduino to ESP32 - what a difference! I was up and running very quickly since the Arduino IDE easily recognized this module. I'm just OK with coding but with the help of an online AI program, I was getting several projects running fast! Hook up is a breeze as all of the pins are identified by silk screened markings. The only downside to this is the pin spacing from one side to the other - it's too wide for my old prototyping breadboard (it's one row too wide to fit). Luckily, for my project shown, I only needed 4 pins that were all on the same side. I'm going to order a new breadboard to address this issue. The module is very well built and has two onboard LEDs and two buttons - one of which is a handy reboot. At around $5 per module, this is a GREAT deal!

Good product
Easy to set up and use. Fast and works well. Built well, also easy to connect with jumper wires or soldered on wires.

Wish they gave a cable along with it. Other than that works fine .

You WILL break the USB connector off.
First two that I plugged in, the USB connector broke off the board. The USB connector is TIGHT... The solder tabs on the housing are TINY and there's BARELY any solder holding them. The first one broke off the board and broke the contacts. The second one (I was being careful) broke off the board but the contacts were still connected. I resoldered the connector but the tabs are TINY so it didn't hold. BEFORE you use these, GLUE the connectors down with JB Weld! See my picture. ***UPDATE: The seller contacted me and offered to 'make this right'. Gonna give them 3 more stars because they didn't have to do this. Develop your sketch on another ESP then JB Weld and CAREFULLY connect the USB and upload your sketch.

Such great little devices, wish I had a million of them!
I really like the ESP32. They are a neat little device with endless possibilities.

Don't buy the cheapest, look carefully at the feedback. Good luck.
4 out of the six actually I was able to program, one would not except the program with out errors, one was not even recognized by the computer at all. Won't buy these items any more. Lesson learned.

Pinout not matching unit
great quality but the module is now the "D" variant and the pin out does not seem to fully match the picture or the one posted in the reviews. It's a shame because otherwise these feel super quality. Edit: They updated the pin out so I have am chaning my review to 5 stars.

Powerful little board for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth projects
The ESP-WROOM-32 dev board is incredibly versatile for IoT (Internet of Things) work. I’ve used it for everything from sensor monitoring to LED control, and it’s never let me down. The dual-core processor handles multitasking smoothly, and having both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in makes it great for connected devices. Flashing firmware through the Arduino IDE or ESPHome is straightforward once you install the drivers, and it works with both USB-C and micro-USB versions depending on the board you get. The onboard antenna has strong range, and GPIO labeling is clear. Excellent value for prototyping or permanent smart-home installs.

Warning
Checked with espconnect, these were esp32 only, no wifi, no Bluetooth, not one bell, not one whistle. Didn't check them until months had gone by. Will not buy again

I'd buy it again
All work as they should. A couple of solder joints are not that great. I was able to fix them. Good for the price.

Nice board for Arduin
This ESP32 board is a good board for programming and playing with different IOT devices. If you have extra boards and sensors, you can connect it with this board and do some Arduin programming to control them. This is a good board to start experimenting with it. I have other sensors also, so I am trying out different programs from online sources and controlling simple items like led lights.
