For the most part, this device does what it is suppose to do. I will say that it is just a DVD player so do not expect blazing HD quality even with the HD screen. It is limited based on quality but the quality is still good. This is still pretty big but it is light so you can easily take this on road trips although be careful not to turn it sideways when the disk is running as you can scratch up the disk. The DVD player casing is pretty well built. It is made of solid plastic and I did not see any piece that was too thin or prone to cracks/breaks so you do not have to worry about easily breaking it. It is still pretty thick so I would say It basically the size of a early 2000 laptop. There is a simple line of sight remote control. The remote runs on a coin battery which is okay to keep it thin. The main DVD player battery life is pretty nice. I would highly recommend you charge it overnight BEFORE you use it. On the first initial charge, it lasted about two movie length movies before needing to recharge. It does have a car charger but it does come with a wall charger. You can use the DVD player while it is being charged so that is an added bonus. The next thing about this is that you can actually hook this up to a TV and it becomes the DVD player for the TV. You can close the player as well and it will keep working or you can turn the LCD screen off. The unfortunate part is that it only allows for RCA and not HDMI so many of the newer televisions will not work for this. There is NO HDMI capability on this so this is very limiting on what you can plug into as again most new TVs do not even have RCA anymore. Regardless, the RCA cable is fairly long but be aware it is RCA to those 3.5 MM like plugs. Those are pretty easy to replace if needed but it is only one plug versus three. Make sure you plug it into the right port. The controls are pretty straight forward. It comes with a TV setting and DVD. The screen is held on by a hinge and it actually pretty durable and sturdy. I cannot tell though if the hinge is plastic or metal though from just looking at it. You are able to mount this on your car seat if you have the right mount. If you happen to hit a bump, it may cause the DVD to shake a bit and hinder the playing. The screen is not a touch screen so you either have to open it again to use the buttons or use the remote control. The casing is nice but you do not see scratches on it too easily. There is a pretty simple and nice carrying case provided. It fits all your accessories and such. It makes it very easy to carry. Also careful with the box as the bottom is not very stable and could break on you pretty easily from the weight. The picture quality is as expected. It is just a standard 480p I feel like with the DVD player. It is not upscaled or anything like that. The DVD slot is just a slide lock to unlock. It holds the DVD pretty well but try not to shake or turn it while it is running. There is a USB port and SD slot that you can plug thumb drive or an SD card into to enjoy videos that way. It was able to run the AVI files I needed. Overall this is a good portable DVD player to take on the go. It is great for keeping children entertained and the best part is that it can be plugged into a TV to become a DVD player for the TV. This makes it ideal for homes and such because you can use this player as a main DVD player if needed. The remote must be in line of sight. It does run on older tech so be aware of that. I think it should have HDMI as most TVs now do not even have RCA so that is the only down side of this device.

BUY IT!! It's bigger than my ACER chrome laptop and has great video quality. A nice big screen. Takes a while to charge but you can still use it when its plugged in. Great volume speakers and if you accidentally click the main menu or take out the dvd and put it back in, it'll resume where you left off. I honestly love it and makes enjoying movies more affordable! I thrifted a bunch of dvds just for this lol. Cancel your subscriptions people!

Buttons stopped working right after I received it and I can’t remove the subtitles. A bit cheep- the sound and picture isn’t the clearest. I didn’t like the wide screen- made all the characters in the videos look rotund 😬😮 I originally gave this product a one star review because of the problems I had, but because they fixed the problem and were so good with customer service and support I decided to edit it and give them a four star!

Excellent & so convenient

There was no screen protion film on this unit. We never took it off the one we got 3-1/2 weeks ago because the spindle motor fails so quickly on every one we've gotten. This is the Fourth Portable DVD Player we've purchased thru Amazon. We left the Protection film on the last one because we had just returned the previous one that was only 3 weeks owned when the spindle motor started making the same sounds as the unit before when it failed, stopped working. So we returned it in 3 weeks with the film still on the screen for the next person that ends up with it. Though this latest DVD player has no screen protection film on it, as previously stated. We live on an island with not Best Buys or anything, so we continue to buy and be disappointed by the purchases from this company Amazon. After charging completely, I wanted to test and that is when we saw there was no screen protection film. It does work, I put a DVD in that we had on slate with the last player. So there's that. I'll chime in again if this unit fails in an indue time too. The first lasted just over a year, after that it's been failure in months.

Dvd player works great sound and picture are wonderful

Really handy item. Works well. Has no Bluetooth, HDMI, or USB Headphone jack, which is to be expected on a lower priced item. Only issue is that it it is hard to locate the power and audio connections on the lower side of the inward sloping case. If the case did not slope inwards, or, the connections were a bright colour, it would not require me to lift the case into the air in order to insert the respective cables.

Lo abrí en cuanto llegó, pero no lo utilicé sino hasta días después. Para entonces le hacía falta una pieza. Y como no sé si no venía o la perdí, pues no lo devolví, sino que le tuve que buscar la pieza por mi cuenta. Claro que a ustedes no les va a pasar eso, sólo lo comento como mi experiencia, por si acaso. Por lo demás, perfecto.
