Excellent replacement part or new build for lamp. Helped me rescue a vintage lamp I was restoring and works perfectly. Quality is good and fit for purpose. Recommended

Top quality Brass light fitting fitted perfectly all wired up and working as intended the original lamp switch was 22 years old and it would not push to turn the light on and off as it was sticking and was becoming rather bothersome, so looked on line and found this new light fitting so will have to buy another as I have two brass lamps and it the other brass lamp fitting needs changing too. This new brass fitting is a solid piece of brass it is weighty and when you look at it is a work of art really heavy solid construction with new safety features 10 Stars. Well worth the asking price just hope it lasts as long only time will tell I will update accordingly.

Refurbished some old lamps and fitted new bulb holder these were ideal and fitted well with the design. Very east to fit and also had a locking screw to hold it secure once fitted, simple to wire up as the whole body split into to make access easy. Very pleased with the end result, they were for my daughter house and she loves them. Little expensive but very good value for money and well made, you pay for what you get and these are very good quality. One other thing, there is a safety feature that removes power to the holder if the bulb is not fitted, so if you remove the bulb with power is on then holder is safe thanks to this interlock feature.

Good quality, fitted easily, switch was smooth to switch on and off. Liked the safety aspect, can't switch on without a bulb fitted.

Great and easy to replace

This is designed to fit a 10mm male thread brass nipple fitting (from the same supplier) which is suitable for screwing on to, for example, a wooden lamp base. Unlike the old, damaged bulb holder it replaced this is a thoughtfully designed product. The lower body of the bulb holder can be screwed on to the nipple and locked in place by a screw. The bulb connector block is designed to take the 3 wires (+, - & earth) cut to equal lengths. The connector block has a small metal tab that slots over the upper edge of the lower body to make an earth connection with the metal components. Once wired up, the connector block can be drawn straight into the lower body without twisting the cable. NOTE: Be sure to fully tighten the threaded collar that joins the upper and lower parts of bulb holder together. On first use I found that fitting a light bulb into the holder caused the upper body and the connector block to twist slightly which could potentially damage or dislodge the cable connections. As a safety feature, the connector block incorporates a spring loaded plunger between the two electrical contacts for the bulb. This inhibits the on/off switch which will not operate until a bulb has been fully inserted in place.

Good quality fitting, looks very nice. For some reason despite getting the right size, the thread barely connected with the one on our standard lamp, however. 2 turns and that was a struggle. If it comes off, we'll have to look elsewhere for another.
