I've been using the scum ball for a while but they just don't seem to last and I've never had success washing them but these scum rays are awesome! They totally eliminate the scum ring from the hottub and if there is any slight marks, you can use the head of the ray to scrub them off. Then throw the ray in the washing machine and let it air dry and you are good to go again

The review below was done when these worked perfectly but after 2 washes each they sink not doing the job they should and cannot return as gone past the time. I really liked them to 😔 will not be buying again 😒 This product is incredible!! Does what it says and cars all scum!! I absolutely love this!! Delivered on time and will buy again if needed. I bought this for my swimspa They are super cute, floating around in the swim spa.. Kids love to play with them & even gave them names.. They seem to do a great work with keeping the scum off the sides of the walls, I haven’t had to clean it since I bought them.. Bonus is they also come in a two pack so I can always have one in the swim spa and they are super easy to wash by just throwing them in the washing machine

I wouldn't advise going for the cheaper brand. They're cheaper for a reason. These were perfect for the hot tub. They're easy to rinse off. Put back in and keep it nice and clean. No oil slicks in the hot tub

Upon reading about these, I did a bit more research. While I was introduced to the Zorbie first, I really like that I can reuse (and wash) the ScumRay. The two pack allows for one to be in the wash while the second is in use. So far, my tub has stayed clear and the ScumRay seems to be doing what it advertises it does. It's only been a short while, so I can't say if it's truly awesome or not. But, I'm not seeing anything negative.

First time owners of a swim-spa from Arctic Spa. After two weeks of careful use and pool maintenance of our new spa, I noticed that a "bathtub ring" of buildup that I cleaned off after each use. I ordered this ScumRay in hopes it would reduce the buildup. To my surprise, this little device made a huge difference. Almost no water line scum has built-up since I started using this ScumRay. The two pack lets me change out the product every week so I can keep one in use and one washed and dry for next week. Hope they last with proper care. So far, I am very pleased with their effectiveness.

These are cute and seemed to work as we never have scum lines. The suction cups keep them from being sucked into the skimmer basket like the scum bugs and balls did. However, the strings detached on both from the scum ray and I had to sewn them back on to keep them suctioned to the sides. We have only had them for 8 months.
