Forget the blades and the utility blades and all th fuss. These things may be odd looking but they will take that boxy square carpenters pencil and put a drawing tip on it like no tomorrow. They seem cheap and flimsy upon first look. Quote the contrary. They function very well. A bit of a fuss if you have arthritis but outside that easy to use. They could be a bit bigger and maybe a brighter color so not easy to lose or misplace. Tip. I keep mine n the drill bag with the drill and stuff. Not easy to lose tha way. Never lost a drill lol. Anyway value for the money is a def life saver. I get a clean point every time with zero wasted pencil product. Vs. the old way of pull th knife and shave it down. So ya it’s a def bonus to have these guys added to my war chest for those pesky household repairs.

These work great on the flat carpenters pencils I have been looking for a good sharpener and these work smooth with the rotating blades

I honestly did not know there was such a thing as a carpenter pencil sharpener. I've used it several times and it works fine. This works better than a pocket knife. I tried it on regular pencils and it will sharpen them too. I like it and recommend it.

These are awesome pencil sharpeners for both flat Carpenter and standard pencils. I wish I knew these existed sooner. No more whittling flat pencils with a knife. The honing edge for fine tuning is a nice touch to save lead and keep it sharp. Two-pack at this price is nice. I attached one with stretch/shock paracord to a belt tool pouch so its always handy even if I'm up on a ladder.

Could be better designed to make it easier to hold and turn. I sharpened 18 new pencils at once. Probably not that bad for one or two merely dull pencils.
