These are an amazing alternative to the Baystar or SeaStar systems. You can’t go wrong for the price of this unit. The quality and materials are excellent and the helm is indistinguishable from the SeaStar. It appears they are the same maker for helms from SeaStar and Vevor. Best value you can find for a hydraulic steering setup. I installed it on a 90hp Honda and it is a game changer. It is very responsive, and made a huge difference in steering for my boat. The install was very simple and straight forward. The instructions are good and online videos are available as well. I have not had any issues with it or leaks.

At first seemed like a good deal compared to some other brands. Install was easy, everything went well for a couple trips. Now all the fluid has leaked out of the helm area. All fittings are tight, all instructions followed correctly. I am just glad we checked before we took it to the boat ramp. It is not worth the money for this product. . Spend a bit more and get a brand with a good reputation. Or just get a mechanical system instead. BUYER BEWARE!

It came on time and worked very well.

Fairly easy to install, but instruction were not the best; Small details were not pointed out (like which end of the hose need to go to the helm.). My first pump was defective, but they replaced it. 2nd pump is working great! I have a Yamaha 115ph. I need to andjust the engine tab more cause the steering is hard to turn left, but at low speed it’s fine. Overall, it is a great buy, especially for the $$$$. If you want something that last over 10+ years, paying 2x or 3x for the baystar / seastar, might be your path. This product is fine, but I noticed the cylinder doesn’t have replaceable ends; so if / when you have a leak on the cylinder, you will need to buy a new cylinder.

Leaking oil new out of the box from the main hydraulic cylinder seals, beware as Amazon won’t return and seller won’t reply, Vevor acknowledged the issue under warranty and offered to send parts to fix the new hydraulic steering !! Factor the wasted oil and mess all over your boat plus the double labour and add the repair labour on top, and two wasted weeks for parts On top of that if it’s leaking already before using, will you trust on the water in your boat !!! I lost faith
