You need something light but powerful to fight them. This reel is everything any fisherman could want-quiet, smooth, light and has a very powerful drag. I paired mine with a 7 foot 2 inch medium light Bass Pro Carbonlite spinning rod and the feel is unmatched. The other nice surprise was it was about 25 bucks cheaper on Amazon than at my local Cabelas. I highly recommend this reel for anyone who is looking for high performance and light weight.
