My temperature gauge has not worked for years in my 1998 Honda Civic LX. Mechanic told me initially it was a broken gauge, but the main temperature sensor was reading properly so suggested to let it alone due to age of car. I recently had a burst radiator hose and thought best to fix this issue now as well. To test the gauge, I jumped the sensor connector wire to ground then started car and saw the gauge needle rise. That ruled out issue with the gauge so bought this sensor. Took about 15 minutes to replace with hardest part getting to the location. Once replaced, temp gauge is back to normal and working properly. Figure this would have cost me $250 if I used the mechanic.

Honestly have zero complaints. Great quality and fit. Works great and is 1/3 of the price of the local parts store. Fixed my temperature gauge

Amazon says this fits a 1998 Honda CRV, and the sensor itself does screw in, but the connector end is not shaped properly to "snap" into the connector (far right in photo). It's too small and just falls out. The Autotecnica has the same part number 37750-PH2 014 (middle in photo) and "snaps" on to the connector; also, the Walker 211-2008 appears to be shaped correctly. I'm returning the Autohaux and buying one of the others. Follow up: Installed the Autoenica temp sending unit; temperature gauge reads normal after installing. One final comment...if the Autotecnica sensor looks larger, it is. It's too small for a 12 mm socket (both the OEM and Autohaux sensors are 12 mm) and wobbly in a 13 mm deep socket. I managed to get it tight with the 13 mm but hope I never have to remove it.
