When playing, a fair amount of space is best which will depend on how many people are playing. We find that the dining room table edge is typically sufficient for 2-3 people. Depending on the level of conversation and the number of people, the game takes approximately 30-45 minutes with setup and take down. The artwork included is beautiful too. All of the plant cards are well designed as well as all of the boards. The plants are also very inclusive so you may be able to find some of the houseplants you already own (if you own any :)).
