Alpine Stainless Steel Camping Fry Pan

Just what I always wanted and haven’t had, decent sized washable camp stove pan. Bought two. One is vegan.

Not yet used, but arrived in good condition.

Bought to compliment our MSR Ti twin pan set. I could not find a Ti version so bought this instead. With a cosy pan enclosure on the MSR Ti pan set this frypan is a nice snug fit on the bottom. We'll not normally back pack with this fry pan - it shall mainly accompany us when bike touring, but I note that it could be used as a lid for the two pan/one lid Ti pan set.

Whilst I haven’t yet had opportunity to use the Alpine Fry Pan out in the field, my initial impressions are very positive. I’ve taken some time to season the pan, in preparation of its first trip out. It’s a good size and not too heavy. Seems very robust.

Too thin to actually use on any self respecting MSR stove. Even at the lowest setting on a gas or petrol stove the pan gets way to hot and burns the food. The burn marks are impossible to remove. The handle is poor and sharp. This pan does not belong in the MSR range.

like how it fits in bag with other MSR Alpine Pans . Handle can be used with other pans.
