Its easy setup & working fine

The unit is sold as a mesh unit. However it required a wired backhand to work. Defeats the purpose of having a mesh system for your garden if you need to run ethernet cables.

Keeps disconnecting from the . unstable operation. I returned 2 of them, got stuck with one because I lost the box.

I added the TP-Link Deco X50-Outdoor to my existing Deco mesh system, and it’s been a great upgrade. Setup was fast using the Deco app. It recognized the new unit right away and had it online in minutes. Performance has been excellent. The signal is strong and stable across my entire backyard now and even out by the pool where I used to get almost nothing. It blends seamlessly into the rest of the mesh network, so there’s no need to manually switch networks or deal with dead zones. Everything just stays connected. The build quality is solid. It feels well-sealed and rugged. it’s functional but discreet as well. Overall, this is exactly what I needed to extend reliable WiFi outdoors. If you already use the Deco system, adding the X50-Outdoor is a no-brainer. It’s reliable, weatherproof, easy to install, and does what it promises.

I have it installed inside my garage, which is paired to a tri band mesh network wirelessly. It's been up for few weeks now and seems to be working fine. Main takeaway is that this unit is weather proof and good for Canadian, southern Ontario, outdoor climate. However, my setup will never expose this unit to water or snow, even though it is supposed to be somewhat waterproof.

I needed a weather proof device to manage a remote site with a large warehouse and separate office so purchased one of these as it needed to be installed outdoors: Deco X50-Outdoor(1-pack) (US) Ver:1.0 (I had already purchased S4(3-pack) (EU) Ver:2.0 for internal use) The X50 is the main device set to wi-fi router mode and the 3 S4's are the satellites. The X50 Deco device is connected to a LTE Mobile Router (Netgear Nighthawk M2 - MR2100) due to the site's remote location. Due to this it's not a straightforward set-up and this is where the TP Link Support team exceeded all my expectations. In an era when most organisations avoid direct contact with their customers the TP Link Support team went above and beyond to make sure all was well. This included numerous emails and phone calls to assist with the configuration due to the complex nature of my setup. The main support team members I'd like to specifically mention are Abner, Flora, Jonaire and Rolly. Their expertise and dedication was first class and I highly recommend them and their products.
