The only negative I have is that when cooking on high, things tend to boil - which I have never experienced with a slow cooker. Usually the heat is lower (even if on "high" setting). Others did remark on this, so I decided to live with this as it means using high for a short burst then switching down to low for the remainder of cooking time which does work.
