Works when you need to sit down
I got the cheaper one, but wish I had gotten the more expensive model with the easier handle to carry and adjustable height. That said, this is a great design. It can be used as a cane if you need it and can quickly turn into a surprisingly stable seat. The way it folds is really cool tech and it's pretty lightweight. My issue is I can walk a little, but then need to stop and rest. But there isn't always a place to sit safely when I do. This can be kept in its case and carried by someone with me to pull out when I need it. Works great.

Well Designed and Well Made - A Game Changer
This chair/hiking pole with the funny name has been a game changer for us. It is very light and doubles as a chair and sturdy cane. We've owned it for several months. The mechanism works perfectly, easy to set up and fold. It is sturdy as a cane, maybe a bit short as a hiking stick, but surprisingly comfortable as a temporary resting chair. However, the photo on the site shows the chair backwards. The "front" of the chair is the handle of the cane. The pole goes between your legs. Makes a nice book/map rest. If you sit on it with the pole sticking out the "back" the chair is not stable. Pay the extra for the aircraft quality aluminum.

Have both Step 1 and 2
Step 1 is slightly easier to carry and lighter. Step 2 is thicker around the cane stick, but actually folds up easier than Step 1. Step 1 cane feels better overall for walking and we did our first travel trip with them to Korea where we did a lot of walking. I have a bad knee and back, and my husband opens his chair every chance he gets because he doesn’t like standing around for too long. Since Step 2 is easier to put chair system away, I let my husband use it, and I use the Step 1 for its better portability. Everyone sees it and asks where I got it, and I tell them they can’t find it in a medical supply store, only on Amazon. I should get paid for every single time I get asked about it because I always give great reviews on it and show people how easy it works! I have taken it to the hospital during my total knee replacement and to the physical therapy afterwards, and every one loves playing with it, and says they will get one for a parent or friend who needs it. (Or themselves!) I also like that the legs don’t stick out, like on other chair canes, so it’s not hitting other people in tight spaces like an elevator or bus. I actually had to use it once on a KTX train when it was so packed, we had to go in a tight area for standing room only. It’s just small enough that when we started moving, I opened the chair and sat on it, and stayed out of the way of everyone and it didn’t topple over during the start and stop of each train station, and was quick and easy to put away so people could get through the aisles. If I had to say something negative about it, I’d only request that they improve their locking system so the legs don’t fall out when closed. They don’t always get enclosed right, so it takes 2-3 times trying to close to get it to stay. This is where the Step2 system is better. You snap the seat together to hold the legs closed on Step 2. You have to turn a knob on Step 1 to lock it, but it does work itself loose once in awhile. It’s not enough to not use it, but it does get annoying because it takes a couple more seconds to close up than the Step 2 design. If the company sees this, I hope they work on this for improvement. I would hope that for this price, they would let me send mine back for the improved model.

Great buy
Light and easy to use. Wonderful to take to places where rest might be needed and not available.

The perfect walking and sitting companion
This sturdy cane opens into a decent chair that supports me while waiting on line or when I want to sit in a park or on the beach. Easy to open and close with a gentle twist. Make sure you watch the instructional videos. Brought it on a recent domestic short flight and was able to store it in the overhead bin. Make sure your plane has at least 60 seats so the bin is large enough. Great invention.

Great cane plus handy seat easy to convert lightweight
I wasn’t sure about spending this much, but after reading the reviews, this was what I needed. It’s sturdy, lightweight, super easy to go from cane to seat & back again. After our 5 days of Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure during our Thanksgiving week trip to Orlando, it was worth every penny…lines weren’t so bad when I could sit. At 75 I still love roller coasters & flight simulators…(although I admit to needing pre dose of Dramamine each day.) Universal does it all so spectacularly. The ride staff are wonderful…would take my cane when I got on the ride & give it back on exit. I did tape an AirTag under the seat since I didn’t want to take a chance of losing it (at $170 with tax). The cane could have used a nice flat spot to tape the AirTag, but it stayed just fine.

Next…
I was amazed by how poor the quality was. I couldn't keep the chair closed, while stepping with the cane. The seat kept opening, making it impossible to use. I returned the item thesaneday I received it.

Good concept, poor durability
I bought this cane for my mother. It worked well and was very practical at first. Unfortunately, after only 6 months of use, it broke and no longer closes properly, so the seat stays open and can’t be used. Is there any option to repair it or replace the mechanism?
