No Brainer (Diary of a Wimpy Kid #18): A funny middle school adventure from the #1 international bestselling Diary of a Wimpy Kid series (Book 18) (Volume 18) Review: Funny, engaging, and it actually made my child want to read - I bought this book for my son, and it has been such a positive experience for our family. This is the 18th book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, and it keeps the same funny, easy-to-read, and very engaging style the series is known for. Before this series, reading was more of a “required” activity for my son. We used to have a daily reading time of about 20–30 minutes, and he did it, but it felt like a chore for him. There wasn’t much excitement about it. Now, I don’t have to push him at all — he tells me, “Mom, I’m going to read,” and goes on his own. Even though our daily reading time is now 30–40 minutes, it doesn’t feel forced anymore, and that makes me really happy as a parent. He is genuinely interested in these books and is already close to finishing the series. In fact, he is now asking me to buy the next books himself, which is something I honestly didn’t expect before. My only “problem” now is that I’ll need to find another series that can keep his interest at the same level! I also work in a school, and during free choice time I often see the same thing: some kids run to play, and some kids choose to pick up these books and read instead. That says a lot about how engaging and fun this series really is. The book itself is nicely made, with a sturdy cover and clear print. I also added a short video showing the book, the cover, and flipping through the pages, so you can see what it looks like in real life. If your child doesn’t love reading yet, this series is a great way to get them interested. For us, it really made a difference, and that’s why I’m giving this book 5 stars. Review: Engaging, Well-Written, and Age-Appropriate - I purchased this book for my son, and we read through it together shortly after it arrived. First impressions matter with children’s books, and this one immediately held his attention. The writing is clear and age-appropriate without feeling overly simplified. The pacing moves well, and the content is structured in a way that keeps kids engaged rather than overwhelmed. The physical quality is also worth mentioning. The cover is sturdy, the pages are well-bound, and the print is clean and easy to read. The font size and layout are comfortable for younger readers, which makes a difference when they are building confidence reading independently. Content-wise, it strikes a nice balance between being entertaining and meaningful. It sparked conversation between us, which I always consider a positive sign. If a book encourages questions or discussion, it has done more than just fill time. This would be a good fit for parents looking for something engaging but not overstimulating, and appropriate for elementary-age readers. Based on our experience, I would feel comfortable purchasing other titles from the same author or publisher.

Best Book Ever - from a 10 year old
I was very excited for this new book to come out. I am a HUGE fan of this series and have been reading it for years. I just finished reading it a few minutes ago (it came in mail yesterday afternoon) and I already am waiting to see what happens to Greg next. I have every single book in the whole series and I care about these characters a lot. I have read most of the books at least five times each. I like the series because Greg is funny and it's sort of funny how no matter what happens, he just rolls with his life. I don't really like that poor Greg never really has a "happy" ending. My mom says it's because the story is told from his perspective. In this book, the school is losing money because the kids are not getting good grades. This sounds crazy, but it can really happen! So, the school decided to give rewards to kids who got higher grades. The robot cleaner in the book reminded me of the grocery store robot in my town. It's cute with its big, googly eyes. Mom Says: Reading has always been a focus in our home. We believe in reading and education and being able to research things on our own. We are teaching this foundation to our children. I spent a couple hours each DAY reading to my kids when they were little. We read the entire Harry Potter series aloud to them in 2021, before bedtime for an hour each night. Reading has always been important. My daughter was not a confident reader six years ago, when she was four and five years old. I got the Wimpy Kid books for her, hoping it would be entertaining enough, and easy enough, to keep her motivated to finish books. Since she read the first few books at age 5 or 6 years old, she has become a VORACIOUS reader. She reads one or two books a day now. She reads chapter books, 200-page books with no pictures in them. She is an excellent reader and I find books all over the house now, in places where she was sequestered away, enjoying a story- and it started with the Wimpy kid series. I've even sat down to read several of the Wimpy books myself. I can finish the books in 30 minutes with my morning coffee and I find myself oftentimes laughing out loud to them. I hope he keeps them light and silly- and we will keep reading them.

Good book
My kids love these books so I try to buy when they are in good price. It is hard cover so I hope it will last. Trying to get the whole collection little by little

Good book for children!
This was a pretty good book to read, but I felt like Greg talked a lot of some events. Nevertheless, it's a book for all ages can enjoy.
