what is the difference in the diffrent paints ? I see like 2 or 3 black paints ?

Just being totally upfront do not waste your money on these CQR pants they are not well made. I would highly recommend going with either the 5.11 or Tru Spec pants. Yes those two pants are higher priced but the quality is also better I have had all 3 brands. I used 5.11 for years and they last and they I tried the Tru Spec pants and they are the king on the hill and the company stands behind there product 100%. I like the 5.11 but when your talking about spending that much on the pants you might as well go with tru spec pants. I use the tru spec expedition pants. There is a video on YouTube about the pants

Do they shrink? Overtime but I think mines strink any one else pants strink

They don't shrink, but the fit is irregular. As for the smell when washing it maybe the detergent your using. Not sure.
