Plasplug SHCF553 Heavy-Duty Hollow Wall Fixing

Used these to fix wooden batons to stud walls to support a shelf. Did the job well and seem to provide a solid fixing for the screw along with glue to fix the batons to the wall. This was for a cupboard shelf so is supported on 3 sides. Solid enough for this and light loads which run down the wall (eg pictures/mirrors). They do require a large (size 10) drill to create the hole for the plugs.

Although this product did not arrive on the due date, it did arrive few days later. The product is as described and will be exactly what I need to complete the repairs it was ordered for.

First time in ages just bought an item on star rating. Don't know what these 5 star reviewers were hanging but it couldn't have been much. Didn't work on any level other than fitting into the massive hole you drill for them. I knew the minute I but in the first screw we had a problem, I was hanging a shelf with 8 screws requires drilled the holes fitted the plugs screws the screws with the brackets and before even put the shelf on the brackets could see the fit was not tight against the wall and was able to move the bracket by hand. They are made of brittle plastic and obtain no grip behind the wall the securing pieces seem to just break off and become loose. Should have just used the raw plugs I had in the tool box waste of time and money.

I use these to hang wall bookshelves. Not the floating kind, the ones that have classy looking supports. Anyways, they hold up well. I have half a dozen wall bookshelves and each one has 12-20 hardcover books on them. Been using these for about a decade through 2 moves and never have any problems

These plasterboard anchors are easily the best I have ever used since the invention of "drywall" plasterboard. Truly unbeatable, FULL STOP! No not yet, they a fabulous in concrete as well - a double whammy.
