Rich and Authentic Full-Bodied Black Tea
This 50-count pack of Taylors of Harrogate Assam tea is a refined choice for those who appreciate a bold, traditional cup. Sourced from the Brahmaputra Valley in northeast India and packed in England, this 100% natural black tea is known for its deep, satisfying, and slightly malty flavor profile. Because each English-style tagless pillow bag contains 2.5 grams of high-quality tea, it provides a more robust and flavorful brew than many standard commercial options. The tea is high in antioxidants and provides a natural caffeine boost, making it an excellent companion for a morning routine or an afternoon break. For the best experience, it is recommended to infuse one bag in freshly boiled water for four to five minutes. Its strong character allows it to be served pure or with a splash of milk to complement the malty notes. Taylors of Harrogate maintains high standards for sustainability and ethics, holding certifications from Carbon Neutral, the Ethical Tea Partnership, and the Rainforest Alliance. This commitment ensures that while you enjoy a premium, full-bodied tea, you are also supporting responsible environmental and labor practices. Whether served hot or iced, this Assam tea offers a consistent and high-quality experience for any tea enthusiast.

For My Money, The Best Cup of Tea Around
For everyone out there who is thinking about trying this particular Assam tea produced and sold by Harrogate, please read what I have written here and lose any qualms you may have. This is a terrific tea for all day long. I've been buying this Harrogate Assam tea for years. Even though I only recently started buying it from Amazon, I've bought 11 boxes and am about to buy 6 more today. I find that selecting this tea for my early morning teatime is best, but there really isn't a bad time for this blend of Assam tea. To answer the question of aroma. I find a subtle aroma with this tea, once in a while. Indian and Ceylon teas are my favorites, and I've drunk them for 60 years. Generally, I've found black teas have a somewhat earthy, but extremely lovely taste to them. The lack of aroma with Assam tea from Harrogate in the reviews is not something that speaks to freshness, in my opinion. Assam tea simply has a subtle aroma, sometimes leading me to believe there is no aroma. In my experience, the tea aroma and the taste for these teas might be dependent on the time of the season it is harvested, the company selling the tea, the company's blending of the tea during production and perhaps, other lesser important issues that I can't speak to. I know that this particular Assam blend of tea from Harrogate has been one of the best black teas I've ever had. Don't hesitate to try other teas from Harrogate. I regularly buy their Ceylon teas, too, but recently, I've bought Assam tea to drink most of the time. And, for those people with imperfectly shipped boxes, I have received tea boxes like that, too. I'm asking you if because some packer or shipper made a mistake, crunched your box so it didn't arrive in pristine condition, did a crunched box affect those absolutely perfect cups of tea that the box contained? Don't think so. Enjoy the tea inside and let it calm you, as it does me. Try this one when you are stressed, you will concentrate on the tea, not the stress, I promise you. Best, Ken

Good taste
I love black tea and when I had a cup of this when at an appointment, and it was so delicious. Had to track it down and order a box. I thought it was a little pricey, but has a great flavor and will treat myself again.

my cup of tea
My favorite tea. Assam has a quality I don't find in other teas. Taylors is my favorite brand. I've been a fan of Twinnings for years (still am) but the 50 count packages from Taylors can't be beat. Makes a great cup of tea, or in my case, a great mug of tea. Highly recommended.

Piss poor
Perhaps my mindset was negatively influenced at the outset when the tea arrived, as the Taylors' box was dinged and dented a bit, albeit sealed in a plastic wrap. Upon opening the box, I was surprised to find the teabags were not individually wrapped, but 25 strips of 2 bags each, attached. The bulk packaging, "tear them apart" presentation detracts from the perceived quality of the product. The tea itself, after steeping for five minutes, is weak and lacks any real flavor. Overall, I'm disappointed and will not buy again.

I love the tea but Taylors were recently exposed by the BBC as a terrible employer with people working in appalling conditions. I very much hope they have addressed this situation. So five stars for the tea but no stars for the company.

Box crushed when arrived, one of the tea bags came apart. The assam flavour is not rich enough, even when I tried steeping two bags.

Bought as a gift for a tea-loving friend who says that this is absolutely delicious.
