**Q: What did I do wrong? I "sharpened" a pair of kitchen scissors rendering them useless.  I could give them to a class of children to play with now.**
A: This tool sharpens both angles of a knife at the same time. Scissors only have one angle and should not be sharpened on this device. It DOES an amazing job on knives.

**Q: How do I sharpen Scissors? Flat or at an angle?**
A: Excellent knife directions George buuut they asked about sharpening scissors. To answer that, please do not sharpen scissors on this, it will ruin them. This sharpener sharpens BOTH sides of a knife, and scissors are only sharpened on one side. If you try to use this it will make your scissors useless.

**Q: is it made in china?**
A: Checked the unit and there is no manufacturer's stamp on it indicating that it was made in China. On the other hand there is no indication that it isn't!!

**Q: do you have to pull in one direction only or can you go back and forth?**
A: You can go back and forth. But it kind of binds up a little. If you pick up the blade between strokes would be better. Just pulling works great. Just rotate the discs every few strokes.
