Review: Great first dehydrator - So far it's a great home use dehydrator. It's great for drying fruit, flowers/leaves for teas and making biltong. Review: Perfect for dog treats……it can also do some for humans… - We got this to make our own dog treats as they seem to be so expensive, it does a brilliant job and our dog loved the results. We’ve had a play and are now drying fruit which is delicious - the only drawback is that the dog loves them to. The dehydrator is simple to use, the instructions aren’t great but don’t let that put you off - a bit of trial and error gets you there. If you find that the stuff isn’t dry enough then just leave it there and add another hour or so - I suggest that you just note times and temperatures so that you know for the next time. The trays are pretty easy to clean, nothing shows that they are dishwasher safe so we just soak them and use a sponge……no problem. We’re planning on drying fruit and having that about the house this Christmas, instead of chocolates……I’m happy yo recommend this dehydrator - I’ve already told friends about it..5*

**Q: Is this good enough to do beef jerky?**
A: Yes, I use it for beef jerky and it does a good job. Salmon jerky is pretty excellent too.

**Q: I am planning on making dog treats with this, how long does it take to dehydrate thin slices of chicken breast/livers(Around half centimetres thick) ?**
A: To be honest it’s very much ‘trial and error’ - the dehydrator is relatively low power (only 70C) so we’ve had it running for 12 hours.  If you find that it’s not done as well as you want it then you just start it again for a few hours.  We tend to prefer the treats to be ‘leathery’ as opposed to ‘crisp’ - you may have a different preference.  Personally I’d start on 12 hours and then ‘tweak’ from there……and then note what you’ve done.

**Q: Can I make potato crisps with this?**
A: Hi yes you can, depending on the veg depends how long it takes, it's been a great investment, it's never off, we have an allotment, we dry herbs, make crisps, dry fruit, it's endless what you can do, would not be without it.

Just remember it's like a slow cooker, it takes time, but worth the wait as none of the added rubbish from shop bought food.

**Q: Whats the temp range?**
A: 35 - 70C. 
A useful appliance IMHO. I am pleased with mine.

So far it's a great home use dehydrator. It's great for drying fruit, flowers/leaves for teas and making biltong. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ My dogs approved it

I purchased this dehydrator to make doggie treats at home. Item packed and arrived well and the user manual is simple to read. The manual said it's better to pre-cook the meat before dehydrating, so I followed the recommendation. I boiled the chicken fillets until they are cooked about 95%, then sliced them in good tickness. Placed them(used three tray for big 4 fillets) and set 70° for 8 hours. Because the meat were precooked, they started to dehydrate much quicker. 3 hours in now, they are soft inside but crispy outside - just right for what I was hoping to get as my elderly doggies don't have many teeth left so they don't like chew hard stuff. I swapped the trays every hour so that the strips are evenly cooked. I will leave one more hour and then they should be ready.(total 4 hours). By the way, doggies love it. My dog is waiting patiently next to it. 😂🙂 Hope my review helps for the future buyers.
