It comes with a good length of telescopic tubing and a wide flat ended vent attachment as seen in the pic which will vent fumes out of a window. I use mine in 6foot by six foot shed. You must still wear a protective mask though **Q: Is this suitable for spray sealant?** A: Hello Claire. This spray booth is suitable for spray sealants. However, consideration should be given to the type of spray sealant used. If you are using water based sealants then there are no concerns other than to use the exhaust hose and appropriate face mask to ensure that any VOC (volatile organic compound) is drawn away from you and your working environment. Even water based sealants and paints have VOC present, however, the levels are vastly reduced from those present on solvent based paints and sealants.If you are considering using solvent based sealant then you should understand that this is a risk that the solvent may catch fire. Almost all of the reported incidents have been from people constructing their own DIY spray booths and using a bathroom type fan. This type of unit has a fully exposed motor which increases the risk of fire as the solvent passes directly over the motor. The bathroom type fans also have a much larger motor which increases the chance of the solvent catching fire.We have sold a great number of our spray booths to customers who spray a wide range of mediums. We have had no reports of any incidents. This is not to say that there is no risk. The spraying of any medium through an airbrush can greatly reduce the total volume of paint etc being emitted as compared with spray cans. If the volume of spray and solvent is very low (in ratio to the air being drawn through the extractor) then this would, logic suggests, reduce the chances of any incident. The only true way to eliminate any concern, if using solvent based products, is to source a unit powered by a "squirrel motor". This motor is fully encased and does not allow the solvent fumes to pass over the wires around the electric motor. Unfortunately these units start at around £300.Could I suggest that you look at water based sealants which are a much safer option and not nearly so hazardous to your health as solvents based sealants with high VOC.I hope that the above assists? Please let me know if you need any further information. **Q: I would need a longer extractor hose or a hose extension, what size are the hose and fittings?** A: Hi, The hose is a plastic ribbed telescopic hose. Outside rib diameter is 100mm. Inside rib is 90mm appro.. The hose will extend to just under 2meters in length. There is a rubber type attachment held in place by a hose clip to the back of the booth and the plastic telescopic hose is a force fit onto this. **Q: Would it be suitable to use this with rattle can sprays? (undercoating miniatures)** A: Yes, especially if using acrylic based rattlers. you`ll probably need to clean the filters more often. Make sure you keep the LED lighting clean immediately afterwards. I some times cover them with cling film ( a bit fiddly but it works) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A really excellent value for money updated airbrushing spray booth. *by J***R on 15 August 2019* I have purchased this particular spray booth because of the LED light fitting....which is brilliant and very bright.It replaces an older model Expo Tools A500 which I have used for the past 10 years.This version is exactly the same size and design as the Expo but has a separate power supply and is a more powerful extractor so is a little more noisy in operation....not deafening by any means.The quality of build is the same as the Expo....very good, particularly the separately fitted LED light frame. Which now has it`s own on and off switchNOW. ALL these spray booths suffer the same problem........Spraying Acrylic Paint and thinners. Spraying Enamel paint using ordinary white spirit as thinners. Phoenix /Precision etch primer thinners...... ARE FINE WITH NO PROBLEMS.However, you cannot use ACETONE or XYLENE solvents to thin Enamel Paints as these chemicals will melt the spray hood and hinges and LED frame and will act as a solvent glue gumming everything together.However, this is an excellent quality product for the price and includes an extractor extension vent kit which will cost an extra £19 with some other makes. I have been pleasantly surprised that this is the same size as the Expo version but has the LED light frame which provides the much needed bright light when spraying O Gauge loco and wagon kits which is what I will continue to do.Assembling the hood and attaching the light frame is fiddly.. but all these type of hoods are just the same.I am very very pleased with mine. And if you are a modelling enthusiast wanting to start airbrushing.... this is a brilliant spray booth addition to your tool kit range. So, go an snap this one up !! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent booth just wish it had one addition! *by K***Y on 21 January 2018* This spray booth is excellent. It has a very strong extractor fan with flexible hose outlet for routing out to a window. The booth also comes with two air filters you can use one or both at a time. The best feature is the LED lighting system it is excellent at providing a well lit environment for painting. When attaching the LED strips I thought it wasn't working at first but the connector on the right hand side needs pushing in more than you think until you hear a click be sure to support the panel at the back when pushing as the plastic is a bit flexible and may crack. Also contains an ok relatively cheap turntable that does what it needs to do.There is one feature I wish this had and one nitpick: I wish it had a separate switch for the lighting system - as you can't have the lights on without having the fan on! (I'm going to look at modding it to add a separate switch. Now the little nitpick is I wish it came instead with a power cord / kettle lead type connector and not the little a/c jack as it restricts you easily swapping plugs should you move country. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good *by B***P on 3 September 2020* Love the LED lamps which both work and fit well, they’re really effective. Would have given 5 stars but for three points. Firstly the fan is noisier than I expected, it’s louder than the airbrush compressor. Secondly, for the fan output connector to attach properly on the unit I needed to permanently loosen the fan screen screws. Thirdly the transformer doesn’t fit the storage area it’s supposed to but that’s a minor point.
