I have seen some models where they shut off after 15 or 20 seconds. Are the batteries and light(s) replaceable?** A: The lights stay on for exactly 20 seconds by either tapping the jet or clapping your hands twice. The lithium batteries are fully charged in one hour by a USB cord which is supplied but the plug is not supplied. If you want to charge it by plugging it into a wall outlet you will need an android plug for the USB cord. When charging it, turn the jet upside down you will see a switch, keep it in off position, plug it in and a little red led light will come on. When the red light goes out it is fully charged. There is no way to change the lithium batteries which should last a very long time and led lights usually last forever. If you want the batteries to last even longer keep the switch in off position. These are really nice looking planes and nicely detailed but I don't recommend these jets for children. I hope this helps. **Q: Is the plane wood or metal?** A: The model is made out of plastic resin **Q: Do you have to assemble it?** A: Wings and landing gear snap right in. **Q: Does the landing gear retract?** A: Landing gear does not retract, but you have the option of not putting the landing gear on. The only problem is that the nose gear doors cannot be removed or closed. I think about all the fun I had as a crew member every time I look at it. ### ⭐ Review *by J***H on 7 February 2024* The charging cord didn't fit well into the airplane....the lights worked at first then went dark....after charging it for some time the lights would come on dimly for a few seconds then it goes dark again. And also the nose gear didn't fit correctly and it took some work to get it in position correctly. All I want is a replacement but at best all Amazon will offer a refund 30 days after having received the plane.....so all in all it was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. >>>>>>>>> UPDATE >>>>>>> Lose Fun Park replaced my SWA Lighted 737 and it works great.
