Solar Cover for Swimming Pools, Rectangular 549 x 274 cm blue

I was looking for something to help keep my pool clean and to warm it up a bit and the strong bubble wrap sheets like this seemed the best option. There are different ratings on the bubble wrap so cant compare with others but this is a well known brand and well finished off around the edges. I will cut to size and probably re stitch when I know how it lies on the pool and have fitted the steps but it warms up the top 2 or 3 inches of the water and the skimmer and pump help circulate it. Cant speak for longevity as only had it 2 weeks but does the job well so far ! For the price very good for keeping the insects and muck off and warming the water a little.

Would recommend good quality keeps the heat in and bugs out

I've just bought my second one as they only last a couple of years. I think they are expensive for what they are, good quality bubble wrap really. However it does make a difference to the pool temperature but only by a few degrees. The water temperature went up from 18/20 to around 20/24 degrees on a sunny day. It also keeps the pool free from bugs etc. I would recommend but don't have your expectations too high. Just a tip, I also leave the pool inflatables on the top of the cover that also seems to push up the temperature. Happy days

Four weeks in and the Solar Cover is doing the job on our 24ft x 12ft pool. The Cover isn't flimsy; it feels like industrial strength bubble wrap! The children are less than gentle when ripping the Cover off the pool and dumping it on the lawn but we have yet to have a single 'bubble' popped. It is easy to pull into place and it 'clings' to the water so it doesn't blow away or move out of position with the wind. We have measured heat loss with and without the Solar Cover in place and it is certainly making a difference of perhaps 1-2 degrees which doesn't sound like a lot but every little helps! The Cover is really easy to pull back into position after we have used the pool and so it is much more likely that it will be used every time unlike our difficult-to-get-into-place tarpaulin which is usually just left on the grass. The Cover also offers protection against debris falling into the pool. The Cover comes in a big sturdy storage bag. Our Solar Cover was purchased from Splash and Relax who provided excellent delivery times and excellent customer service.

We have had no problems using This - in direct sun light it does heat up the pool plus it keeps the bugs and flies out when on during the day

Size is larger than it said which wasn't an issue but what is the issue is that it does not in anyway shape or form warm any part of the water. I could have just paid £2 for a groundsheet to chuck over the top and it would have done the same job. Waste of time and money... Also it has no way to hold it down onto the pool.

Bought this item for my pool (pool ordered same day and arrived over a month later FYI), so barely a month old and it’s already sinking to the bottom of the pool. I thought it odd so checked again, none of the bubbles on the base later have any air in them. All flat!I’m like WTF?Now I’m online with customer services with the hole to resolve this by way of a return or replacement.I would jut recommend on this basis alone.

I knew this cover would be too big for my pool, so I just fold it in half.In the space of a couple hours it raised the pool temperature by a couple of degrees and took the edge off the cold water.Excellent product
