Really works well would buy again

These work well providing a general indication of the soil moisture. Maybe no super accurate, but good enough for most purposes. The twin pack was useful one for indoors and one for outdoors. The indicator works directly from the conductivity of the soil and requires no batteries. The moving coil indicator is simple to read and fairly robust, but like all moving coil instruments if can be damaged fairly easily if dropped or abused. One thing to bear in mind is not to leave it submerged in the soil, that will cause the zinc electrode to corrode.

These moisture meters are brilliant 👏 Very helpful in looking after my plants, now I can assess exactly how moist the soil is instantly and accurately. They have helped me identify plants that have been over watered, even though I couldn't tell from sight alone or even feeling the soil myself. Even better, if you do have an over watered plant, these meters are great at aerating the soil, (the best way to help with over watering, circulating air around the soil without damaging the roots). One thing I feel I should mention, as a total beginner in plant care, and having never purchased moisture meters before, these come with a red tip at the end of the metal prod that is REMOVABLE....I actually didn't realise or notice, and at first I thought my first meter was broken (the box even mentions that if the meter doesn't move or wiggle on entering the soil that it could be damaged and to contact the seller). It wasn't until I tried the second one and the same thing happened, and when I pulled it out I noticed the red tip was gone 😳😅 I can't be the only one lol. The other good thing is the box has a very handy guide listing lots of common houseplants under each coloured zone of the moisture meter, e.g red zone 1-3, drought-enduring. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase, and at a reasonable price to. Would definitely recommend and buy again. 👌

Works exactly as advertised. Stick it in a pot and it works instantly. Super easy to use and lightweight. I usually leave it in for a minute or more so it gives you a more accurate reading. The reading is very consistent and accurate. This is a great product for measuring the moisture! My sister is a beginner in growing plants and it has been very helpful to her as she tends to overwater, so great for people who are new to growing plants as well as others who are more experienced. The probe is a good long size, so you can use it in big pots too. Great price for a great product! You get 2 so you can share it with a friend or measure 2 pots at the same time. Definitely recommend.

When I shoved them in opposite corners of my flowerbed, one went all the way to wet, and the other to the high end of moist. I thought, "Oh, they work. Cool." A short time later and they are both at the bottom of moist. If I move then a few inches they go back to where they were before, and over a short period they drop back down to dry. I guess I can't just leave them in place and expect them to work.

Have 2 of these, tells me the soil is dry during a rainstorm. Fully useless sadly. They are sitting in two different large pots (over 60 litre), goes deep, expected to assist me to ensure I water my plants (rose and buxus), it was a letdown from day 1.

Work very well, and saves over watering these are great testers be careful my sister bought another brand on Amazon and didn’t work she had to return and purchase these instead after we advised these ones work.

This soil moisture meter has been a game changer for both indoor and outdoor plants. I didn’t even know something like this existed, and now I use it all the time. It honestly feels a bit like a toy, but it does exactly what it promises. It takes the guesswork out of watering. I used to use the finger method, but this is way more accurate and easier. It comes in a pack of two, which was perfect. I gave one to my mom and she loves it too.
