I connected a cat5e cable to my router and ran it to a cabin 850' away (buried in conduit). There I connected the cat5e to a Comfast AC100 wireless access point, and I simply unscrewed one of the two rubber "high gain" antennas and screwed this cable on in its place. I attached this directional antenna to a pole (I wish the cable to this thing were just a little bit longer to afford a few more feet of height), and now I get wifi on the other side of the building. It even works on the front porch of a cabin that's more than 100 yards away (and where the signal has to travel through trees). Very impressive. Very, very effective. Update: I've had it for a few months and haven't had any problems whatsoever. The range is incredible. If you can see that white piece of paper (that's what the antenna looks like), even though the white is partially obscured by the oak trees, you've got a good internet signal. Really cool. 2nd update: I've had this for 2-1/2 years now, and I'm still very, very impressed. It's still working beautifully, and now I have two cameras connected. The furthest of the two is 200 yards away, a $40 battery operated motion sensing camera that sends my phone notifications -- and it works like a champ.

Works well. Easy to install. Installed it on a metal building about 170’ from house to provide external antenna for wireless camera inside building. Only issue was the connector fell off cable end. Was able to get it back on but not totally confident it will continue to work.

Connected it to my WiFi Router and kept the Antenna inside my house pointing out the Basement Window. Getting 4 bars on my phone Wifi at the shed approximately 800 Feet away. Going to experiment with it later.
