The Perfect โdonโt mess with me bladeโ.
The Cold steel Leatherneck Bowie is a large quality battle blade. 10.5 inches of razor sharp D2 steel makes for an intimidating weapon. Textured rubber like handle provides a secure grip on the knife. Secure-ex sheath securely houses the knife. Great camp knife for cutting chores or for the apocalypse if needed. A great value blade made by Cold Steel.

That's a knife
I have had the pleasure of owning the regular leatherneck and it is one of cold steel's best values and holds it's own against a Kabar. This is everything that blade is and so much more. This is a gorgeous 10.5" of blade that tapers out on both the top and bottom. The handle is very solid and has an excellent grip. Standard cold steel kydex sheath fits snuggly. It could replace a machete with it's size, but its still very nimble. It's gone up some since I made my purchase, but it's still solid knife for the money.

D2 steel is hard to sharpen dude
D2 steel has great edge retention. This makes it a bit harder to sharpen but once u have an edge it it will keep it. I have all three leather necks. kabar style tanto and now bowie. The handle is completely comfortable. Upgrade from the kabar handle. It's just comfortable in hand. Price is nice as well. Kabar sells a d2 version but it's 150 for standard marine kabar.

Well made
I am happy with the quality of this knife, but the edge is not up to usual Cold Steel standards. I do recommend it.

Bad heat treat
Heat treat is bad. Can't put a decent edge on the blade. This type of steel should be fairly easy to sharpen. Cold Steel quality control has become iffy at best.
