The app not working but Water is great!
Setting up the water filter in 10 steps was (relatively) easy and it was worth doing it correctly. They provide how-to as a paper leaflet inside the package, plus online manual with videos. After setting up I am pleased with the taste and quality of it's filtered water. It removes the bad stuff and keeps the good content in. Filtration is very fast, within minutes you have a full jug. The only downside is that the mobile app Phox Water for Android cannot be installed on my phone because it's available only for obsolete Android OS versions. Thus, I can't use it. But the app function is only to calculate how many days until replacing the filter cartridge. Such a thing you can either remember or set up a reminder for 45 days in other apps anyway. Despite of that, I am proud to purchase this water filter because the taste is great, keep good minerals in, and I feel good because it's manufactured in the UK by the real British brand which has sustainability, reusability and nature in its core values. Other brands throw away a whole cartridges every time while this one only top-up preprepared content into the filter, which hopefully means less waste and lower environmental impact. The package came with 90 days of supply (two sachets for 45 days each). ๐

Fantastic low plastic alternative
I came across Phox quite by chance, while googling โeasy to use water filtersโ. As Iโm working to reduce my plastic consumption I was amazed that this system exists, yet it seems so obvious - instead of replacing the entire plastic filter cartridge, the cartridge itself is refillable. You simply order a new sachet of carbon filter stuff, which comes with a new filter disc: refill the cartridge, soak it for 6 minutes, run through a couple of jugs of water and youโre good to go! The jug is a nice style too and fits into my fridge door way better than my previous jug (which was starting to crack anyway, so was on the verge of needing replacement) and seems very sturdy. The part in the lid where you fill it with water is nicer than on my previous jug too, and seems much less likely to attract crusty limescale - which I could never seem to clean off. All in all Iโm a massive convert to Phox and have already subscribed to them directly for the refill sachets (thereโs a choice of 3; 2 that depend on the hardness of your water, and one that even adds electrolytes). So not only is it easier than the previous system, Iโm cutting down massively on the amount of plastic going off to be down-cycled (not many plastics can be recycled).

Simple, easy to use...does what its supposed to
Bought this to replace a Brita jug I'd had for a couple of years, as I liked the idea of not having to dispose of a load of plastic cartridges every so often. Its a bit smaller than the Brita jug - but the upside of that is it fits in my fridge door. Taste-wise, the water doesn't quite have the same "fresh" taste I got from Brita cartridges...but its still far nicer than unfiltered tap water. Still makes a perfectly nice cuppa or glass of squash. Obviously needs a bit more work than just sticking a new cartridge in, but pulling the cartridge, emptying the filter material, cleaning & replacing it is still just a few minutes' work. Worth the effort if you are environmentally-minded. Cost-wise, the refill packs are about half the price of a box of Brita cartridges...so that was also a big incentive. Would happily recommend this to anyone looking for an eco-friendly alternative.

Decent product for the price
Product is robust and easy to use. Filling the cartridge was easy and of course, you can just empty and reuse. I am comparing to my old Brita filter that I was using with non-branded Maxtra cartridges. Price wise, I had 12 months supply for ยฃ40 which is the same as Phox on their Black Friday deal, which was great as that was then pretty much a like for like. Annually, I would have thrown away 12 cartridges before, which essentially contains the same set of filtration materials as Phox Clean pack. Now I simply refill and just dispose of the old material in the waste (not compostable alas) The water taste is crisp and fresh, so does what it says. I also use mine to fill my kettle and coffee machine to reduce limescale buildup as that also saves me on descaling so often too. Not had long so can't say if there is any change there, but I'm getting good if not better than the Brita/compatible water quality taste wise so I am expecting this to continue. Fits nicely in the fridge tray inside the door, and takes up the space of about 2 x 4 pint milk bottles. Easy to add and remove if you have multiple shelves. I dropped a star as if you fill the filter and start pouring before the water has drained through, mine did leak a bit from the lid, which did not happen on the Brita, and due to the refills being a bit more expensive than throwing away a cartridge unless you get a deal.

Brilliant product
Easy to set up with the carbon and filter. Clear instructions and so far the water has got a big thumbs up from us. Iโve been buying bottled water for the past few months because of the state of the tap water and videos of the old pipes. We have a clean refreshing smooth water now Great packaging and well done for a British product.

One more way to help the planet
As I live in a very hard water area in south east England where the water is so chlorinated it's undrinkable straight from the tap, I've used a Brita water filter jug for a very long time. The cartridges have now become very expensive and the jug was starting to look very tatty, so I decided to go with a more environmentally friendly system and bought the Phox. The Phox jug and filters are made in the UK and dispense with the need to use additional plastic as the jug has a permanent cartridge built in and the filter granules ( which last approx 3 months) come in paper sachets so the used granules can go into the compost. The jug is a good size, is well designed and slim enough to fit in the fridge. And the water tastes as good as fresh spring water. I'm so pleased with my Phox and when it's time to replace the filter granules, I'll be taking out a subscription.

Works well
Filter jug was easy to set up and fits well in the fridge door. Water percolates through the filter resin quite quickly. I don't find it easy to judge how much water to add when topping up the water level through the little flap in the lid. Instead I remove the lid to do this. I've never been a great fan of our tapwater. However, the taste of the filtered water is so pleasant that I drink it instead of some of my cups of tea or coffee.

Good quality filter/pitcher
Have been using this pitcher for 2+ months and I'm very happy with it. This is an eco-friendly solution to disposable filters. I do wish the 3-pack refills are a bit cheaper though.

Smallwater pitcher
I like you arent throwing away plastic units that purify water. Has a reusable co taiber that you add a packet to every 30 days. Only holds 6 glassesof water. Have to fill up often.

Great!
Cleans water, you can feel the taste and it is eco friendly since you can refill the filter without plastic cartridge, exactly what I was looking for to avoid more waste.

Surprised, dissapointed!
The tester showed a difference of 10 points between faucet and BRAND NEW FILTER GRANUALS just being usedโฆ..the second part of the pitcher water had to be raised, as in picture, otherwise will not drain through. I used a new package, just to make sure the experiment and numbers are accurate.

Refill filter media too expensive
Not a bad filter but the refills charge $10 for shipping, making it expensive and impractical to use.
