We had significant woodpecker damage to our house siding and after replacing the damaged wood planks and trying different deterrents, we still found woodpecker damage. We were desperate to find an effective deterrent. We decided to try this reflective ribbon. We hung 3-5 feet length strips of the ribbon from our windows and guess what…… no more woodpecker damage! We secured the strips from the inside of the window so that the window screen secured it in place, with the strips hanging out the side of the window. The tape is very reflective and sways with the wind keeping the woodpeckers away from our home. It worked for us and I hope it helps others as well!

Tied many strips of the tape to vertical roof supports on our dock to keep the ducks and off our dock. So far no ducks or geese have landed on our dock. Tired of clean up their fecal droppings all over the dock.

I've been struggling to keep birds from eating my grass seed for years. I have to plant grass seed multiple times a year and constantly fight the birds which eat my seed, causing me to spend so much extra money on seed. I have tried a million different things to keep the birds from feasting on the grass seed, I cannot believe I finally found something that worked. This bird scare tape is the only thing that has actually worked to keep the birds away. It's been a game-changer for me. I put duct tape in the ends so it won't tear, and then use lawn staples to hold the tape a few inches off the ground. It's laid out in a criss cross pattern over my seeded area. I've watched birds start flying in, then see the reflection in the tape, and fly away. Not a single bird has braved the tape to eat the seeds. Unfortunately, the squirrels are undeterred. I bought similar tapes from other sellers before, but those faded in the sun quickly. This tape, however, has stayed exactly how I laid it out 6 wks agl, with no fading or deterioration despite being fully exposed to the brutal Arizona heat. It's been an amazing purchase and has saved me both time and money. Highly recommend it to anyone facing the same issue!

I randomly came across this product and decided to try it. We have two families of bird that have made their home in between the gutter and the top side of our added-on, back-deck roof, on opposite ends of the deck, and they constantly fly under the deck roof, sit on the string lights and poop on our outdoor furniture that was only one year old. The cushions on the set were grey and unfortunately had already faded, so I decided to buy a new outdoor sectional two weeks ago, but since we put it together, I've been worried that the birds would quickly start doing their thing. As soon as the item arrived, I unrolled some of it, and tied it to the string lights. It was somewhat windy last week, and I noticed that the ribbon was actually blowing above the house and fluttering around at the birds' front door, and when I went out to turn on the string lights just now, I heard absolutely nothing. Usually, regardless of what time open the sliding back door, I will hear chatter, then a quick whoosh as the birds fly out of the nest...well, not today. I have to say I'm surprised but happy that this product actually worked. I'm sad that the bird families had to relocate, because they've been here for at least six years, but it was time.

I put this all around my slip at the marina b/c the birds were having a party right over my boat every day and night. I taped it up with duck tape, some directly onto the steel beams nice and tight and others just dangling so they would flap in the wind. I'm not sure which one worked but the bird droppings are gone. I don't want to harm any birds, I just wanted them to find another spot that wasn't right above my boat. There are many other boats slips for them to use. With regards to this "tape ribbon", it is not a tape and that's clearly mentioned in the description so it does not stick. It is very easy to tape up with some duck tape. It's not as much of an eye sore as I thought and it actually looks pretty cool, especially if there are some holiday weekends coming up. As for the quality, it doesn't rip so I'm very happy with it. Just so glad the birds have moved and my boat is free from the massive droppings that were ruining my boat and it's cover.

I'm giving this 5 stars for performance but 2 for handling and installation. Basically this is like Christmas ribbon with no adhesive so if your using this outside to keep birds away it is very hard to deal with and impossible if any breeze at all. we have a 40ft porch with crown molding and the birds are always building nests. I've tried all kinds of stuff and nothing works. Even those bird spikes. The birds just fill up the gaps with straw and sticks and walk all over the spikes. OK, to save you all a lot of frustration here's how to install. Get some double sided tape or those sticky picture hangers. Put the tape up every 3 ft first, then unroll the reflective tape along the tape strips as you go. Very easy this method. The birds are staying away so it works
