I stumbled upon this little organizer on Amazon, never realizing such a thing existed, or how badly I needed one! But, before purchasing this Hiscow brand I spent over an hour searching for other brands. Well, there are literally only two others on Amazon and, though they are inexpensive, they looked really crappy - plastic fake leather and both got poor reviews. It was obvious they weren’t made to last. I’m glad I splurged on this one. I love it! And YES, it’s real Italian leather - any doubters just need to smell it - and it’s stitched perfectly. It’s beautifully made It’s so functional. No more searching for my shopping list and fumbling for my credit cards. Besides having my list easily readable on one side, the back side holds a few credit cards and my drivers license, and it also has a middle opening to carry more credit cards, or lots more “to-do” cards. Speaking of cards, the cards are not thin, they are like index cards. I purchased another 50 of these vertical lined to/do index cards for cheap here on Amazon . I really like writing on cards instead of paper. The pen holder on the back is a tight fit, however, my gel pen does fit and since this is leather I’m sure it’ll stretch over time. This would make a great gift as the presentation is really nice - it comes in a matte black box with the Note Jotter inside in a woven cloth. Plus, it’s a pretty unusual item - it’s doubtful the recipient has one already. All in all, I’m very happy with this Note Jotter! ( Oh, and I had really wanted the brown leather one but the black was $10 cheaper! Turns out I love the black leather.

Nobody else made a notecard holder like I wanted, and this one seemed like the best bet (and cheaper than Levenger, etc.). So I ordered it thinking I'd give it a shot, and was immediately impressed. I got some "Super Thick Index Cards" from here on Amazon and they work really well with it. I also didn't have much hope for the pen holder, but it seems tailor made for the Pilot v7 rolling ball pens I use. The pen stays snugly in the holder but it's easy to remove and put back. I carry this thing everywhere, and it looks just as good as the day I unwrapped it. The smaller pocket on the back is perfect for an index card folded along the short side. One thing I dislike about the product is that the leather coloring (I got the black one) seems to rub off on the index cards it comes in contact with over longer periods of time. It's getting better though, and I think that this problem will go away once the holder gets more worn in. I would absolutely buy this product again.

Great quality

I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 as the pen holder does not hold the pen securely and it can fall out when removed from my pocket. A leather or sturdy elastic loop would be better. Not withstanding, this is an adequate replacement for my old note holder which completely wore out.

Believe it or not this little item really comes in handy when you’re trying to remember things or add up your bills they don’t even sell them in stores anymore and you guys have it. Keep up the good work.

The pen holder is great, I use it with rite in rain index cards and the rite in rain poko pen. Works great.

Overall satisfied The item is bigger than I expected. The overall quality is very good, and it comes in a beautiful box. It goes well with the recommended ballpoint pen and the to-do list cards shown on the product page. Highly recommended for people who like to keep their to-do items handy in their pocket.
