May need to tap bracket but looks good.
Just received my package today The materials on these are fairly well they are oppressed powdered metal feels aluminum did have to tap out one bracket for the plastic screw using a M6 1.0 tap just a quick ream plastic screw went in with no issues as there's no instructions with this kit I posted a picture with what parts go where with which particular component. The plastic screws go to the bracket that will hold the light rod to the tank keep in mind they're plastic going into metal when it's finger tight it's good don't crank it down there's no reason to put a tool to this I would even recommend potentially adding a small piece of rubber if you have one or a piece of foam strip If you don't like the metal contacting the glass I would do this on my UNS tank that I just purchased probably use a piece of double-sided 3M adhesive tape and just leave the protective covering on it All in all I will update the review once I get the light installed I'm still waiting for brackets for my light but from what it looks like the rods are stout it should work out pretty well. Including some instructions would be helpful but the components are straightforward and if you can tell the difference between a Philips head and a flathead you'll be fine. PART 2# After a few minutes of fiddling with it some points to note and pass on for putting this together and attaching a light. 1) make sure light brackets it will hang from a light from are straight as possible, IE, stretching off to a side or off center it will knock this out of whack and it will move and you WILL start cussing loudly...just saying 2) dont take the cable insert piece part or unscrew it, there are small ball bearings in side, super small and if you lose one it will not hold... You have been warned from experience. I fixed it with some tacky oring lube to hold the bearings while i reassembled it. That piece is in the attached pic on the top. The cable end without the cap will insert into that piece tug it gently so its secure. Manufacture really needs to include some basic instructions on what goes where, this could be done on a single sheet of paper.

Lovely
I love this thing. It does what it's supposed to do elegantly and beautifully. I really couldn't be happier. Had to drill holes into my lamp shell but that was simple enough. My item didn't come with instructions but was able to figure it out by looking at the pictures. It's still worth it. This thing is perfect. I can't remember the last time a purchase didn't disappoint me in some way.

A bit flimsy feeling but does the job
I bit flimsy feeling but does the job and for a fraction of the cost of what was recommended for my new week aqua a440 pro light. I also like they are sleek looking not intrusive vs the massive large tubular eyesore that was recommended. The horizontal part of the bars the light attaches too is not quite 45 degrees but tilts upwards slightly thus not perfectly parallel to the floor and I assume intentionally to counter the stress of weight pulling downwards. My lights came with mounting wire pre installed so I didnโt use some of the parts. Like another said if you unscrew those upside down three tiny ball bearings fall out and youโll have lots of fun both trying to find them and especially putting them back in. Thereโs a spring inside those parts and the ball bearings somehow clamp the wire inside them as you screw it on. But again i didnโt need to use them. So hold them with the bigger part facing up if you unscrew them youโll see the spring when you take the top part off. If you mess with them do it on a towel to catch the ball bearings if they fall out! My light is fairly heavy and the strain it puts on the tank clamps particularly the plastic screws was a bit unnerving but it seems ok. Iโm satisfied!

Solid quality!
Please ignore the plants in the tank, Iโm re-scaling everything with new driftwood. This product is well worth the money, all of the parts are solid construction and itโs significantly cheaper than alternative kits. The only issue for me that is 100% my fault is that it wasnโt as tall as I would have liked. No problem though! I went a bought 36โ round 1/4 steel and had it bent to the same angle as these arms. That way I can still use all of the included hardware to mounts and hang the light. 5/5!

Perfect price point
Definitely a bargain and not too cheaply looking. It does the job at half the cost of a more well known brand.
