Men Analogue Eco-Drive Watch

Perfect for the guy who doesn't want to mess about setting your watch up every month change

I am a great fan of Casio solar powered watches. With just a few hours in sunshine, they will run for months and do not need new batteries replacing every year or two - unlike conventional battery powered watches. This design has a sandy coloured webbing strap and black casing. The face has clear 3-6-9-12 numerals and a luminous set of hands, for clear display - even for those with fading eyesight, like myself. Overall well priced and stylish.

I have constantly been changing watches, looking for the one I could wear all the time. My job involves a lot of train travel so a watch which showed the 24 hour numbers was ideal. I had tried digital watches that offered atomic timing but setting this up for different time zones was awkward. I already had a dress Citizen watch so knew about it being solar powered. This watch is the ideal partner to this, and having day/date, luminous hands and the 24 hour numerals around the inside of the bezel, makes it look like a quality item. I have added a black bracelet to improve its looks.

I have only had this watch for about three weeks, so it is early days yet. However, I am very pleased with the look of the watch. It is simple, easy to read and accurate. It is a man's watch and it looks rugged. Hope fully, my opinion of its qualities will not change. So far, I am very satisfied with it.

I am an avid collector of watches, not high end like Omega, Breitling or Rolex but more middle level. I have plenty of fashion watches but wanted a rugged semi military looking watch. I saw this with a large easily readable face and a utilitarian canvas strap. It's a Citizen Eco-Drive which means you never have to replace the battery and have to have it re-waterproofed. It's incredibly accurate and is correct to the second a couple of weeks after setting it to the right time at the time of delivery.

Nice watch for the money. For me the buckle part of the strap was too short which in turn made it sit to one side on my wrist.

I needed a new utility watch (largely for outdoor pursuits) after a battery replacement left my last watch no longer waterproof. The idea of not needing to change the battery periodically thus came with extra appeal. So far (three months) I have been almost 100% pleased with my purchase. The night time luminescence of the hands sometimes works and sometimes doesn't for reasons that escape me, but that is the only 'fault' I can think off and for me not worth a lost star. The fabric strap is looking a little grubby, but should clean up if it gets to that point, more importantly there is no sign of wear after three months of daily use.

Während ich über mehrere Monate kurz davor war, mir mal eine ziemlich teure Automatikuhr zu gönnen, geriet mir diese Uhr ins Blickfeld und brachte mich durch ihren attraktiven Anblick fast augenblicklich dazu, meinen Plan noch einmal zu überdenken. Nicht wegen ihres günstigen Preises, sondern weil sie fast genauso aussieht und auch so wertig wirkt wie ihre (8 x teurere automatische Konkurrentin). Und weil sie als Quarzuhr natürlich deutlich genauer läuft als eine mechanische Uhr. Und weil sie durch Solarzellentechnik sogar den Batteriewechsel überflüssig macht. Ich bestellte sie und bin bis heute begeistert. Nicht von diesem gelbbräunlichen Armband, das gar nicht geht. Aber die Uhr sieht wirklich richtig gut aus. Und ging nach über einem Monat Nutzung gerade mal eine Sekunde vor! Wie gesagt, das Armband sieht nicht aus und ist überdies unbequem. Viel besser sieht zu dieser Uhr so ein schwarzes Silikonkautschukarmband aus, das ich umgehend bestellte und der Uhr so gut steht, dass ich seit Erwerb vor ca. einem Jahr nur noch diese Uhr trage. Und ich habe noch vier andere hübsche Armbanduhren! Am Wochenende ist es schöne Tradition geworden, dass die Uhr auf dem Fensterbrett steht, damit sie sich wieder aufladen kann. Was mir letztlich doch besser gefällt als eine Automatikuhr, die einfach stehen bleibt, wenn man sie mal eine Weile nicht trägt. Man muss nur aufpassen, dass man sie nicht zerkratzt, denn für diesen niedrigen Preis können Gehäuse und Uhrenglas freilich nicht besonders robust sein.

Fajna, budżetowa wersja "pilota" z dobrym, słonecznym zasilaniem. Ładnie wykonany, ale od razu zmieniłem mu pasek na inny - nosze go z nato "007" albo z czarnym skórzanym. Generalnie polecam :)
