The nonstick coating works very good if you let the idlis cool down first but if you wanna eat hot idlis you then have to try to take them out of the idli stand and then they stick a little. However my idlis turned out extremely good and I think that is because I used the right type of idli batter, but still I love this idli stand because of its very sturdy and strong properties.
