I am not an audiophile, but I do value quality audio and I have a significant investment in home AV. I'm renovating a patio and looking for quality outdoor audio and it does not exist, IMO. I decided to buy this A9 to use on the patio and I could not be happier with the audio quality. I have other outdoor systems with multiple custom speakers and they do not fill the space with the same clarity and bass. It's almost too easy. I realize that the A9 cannot live outside, but for this level of fidelity I'm happy to move it back and forth as needed. I'm considering a second and a third, I'm that pleased with the performance. That said, it's pricey. at $3500 it's painful, but over the years I've spent much much more to try and achieve this level of musical enjoyment poolside and failed. I think I could buy one more and still consider it money well spent, TBD. Update: I'm still enjoying the A9 but the current price of $4500 each is ridiculous. I came back to get a second one but can't make sense of the 30% price increase.

Looks beautiful, but for the money the sound quality is not brilliant. Really good sound, but not brilliant, which is what you would expect for the money. Should have bought a couple of Bronze Monitor Audio speakers to add onto our two room amp instead.

The beosound level has actually better sound than this unit at half the price. This is a beautiful piece great architecture and the sound is certainly good but nowhere near the value for the price. There is a crossover point between paying for a high-end feature and benefit of a product and the actual delivery of those features and benefits. The beosound level delivers 100%. Unfortunately, this unit just doesn’t.
