I've worked with essential oils peppermint , clove, etc! And while they worked the carpet beetles showed up again in a few days! Vinegar works wonders but you have to use 6% or higher strength vinegar to kill them! But then you have to worry about fumes! Baking sods works very well also but when you sprinkle on carpets it later clogs the interior of the vacuum and you then have to have the vacuum serviced! So looking at the ingredients they use only .05% clove oil which is nothing, glycerin soap and some potassium! This shouldn't work given the low percentage of essential oil but I think the trick is in the glycerin soap, that's the only ingredient that was missing from my mixture of essential oils, so that has to be it! So basically I'm saying this product works wonders and I find I can go weeks without see any carpet beetles! But its a cycle that happens over and over until you find all the eggs and larvae but in the end these cycles have to eventually stop once you spray everything for a couple of months!
