Warms the pool slightly in the sun and helps prevent heat loss at night so temperature drops less over night. It's basically just bubble wrap. You can spend a lot more on better/more effective thermal covers but for the price of this it does a good job. Fits my pool perfectly

Gets the job done

This is two pieces of blue bubble wrap joined together and cut into a circle. The 12 foot cover fits the 12 foot pool perfectly, with a small upstand all round the pool, which helps to keep debris out of the water. To our surprise, the wind has never blown one off the water, even in our windy coastal location. On the sort of warm sunny day that the grandkids want to use the pool, it heats the water up from 21 or 22 to 26 °C, or more. We've had 3 of these now, and have just bought a fourth, as each one lasts for two summers, just about. They stayed in excellent condition the first year, but gradually deteriorated in the second, tearing in places and accumulating some algae, especially in the seam. Unfortunately, if not replaced quite soon enough, the cover disintegrates into thousands of bits of plastic, mostly little discs (this is the first year we've had this problem - the summer went on for so long)! I see this as very good value, at about £10 per year to keep the water pretty clean and heat it in our (summer only) 'paddling' pool.

Best pool we've bought. Defiantly worth the money. So easy to put up and maintain. We have summer bbqs with everyone round and everyone has great fun. My husband uses it in the winter for cold water swimming. Definitely getting our moneys worth

Foamy but useful. A lot cheaper than the fancy ones but it doe help to retain heat overnight and to warm up from the sun in the day

I got this and it arrived in what looked like a zip up storage bag with clear window. I was suspicious, thought it was a second or returned item, without proper packaging. I unzipped a corner to inspect the cover and it looked like some of the individual solar cells were popped... i was reluctant to pull whole thing out as i knew I'd never get it back in... so i contacted the seller and said, I didn't like the look of it... doesn't look right... they said that is the standard packaging it comes in from Bestway and asked if I had taken the whole thing out yet. I said no (this was before UK pool season had started) so they said give it a try and contact us if it's damaged. Well, I did get it out after the season had started and it probably isn't damaged... but it is so thin and flimsy and so many cells are deflated that I decided it would be better to continue using the thicker, tougher cover that came with my Beatway pool in the first place. So I went the whole season using the older cover, that this newer one was supposed to replace. Sorry, it's just not up to the job.... but I'm unlikely to return it, as the cover has come out of the storage bag, and it's now ages since I bought it. Buy cheap buy twice

This works a treat, just roll it out with the bubbles on the bottom and blue sheet on top, it traps the heat and increases the pool temperature by a few degrees, it's effective for what it is and what's involved, but you will need a pool heater as well to help increase the temperature more. It also helps with stopping leaves and other stuff from falling in the pool. I don't think it will last more than 2 summers before the UV will damage it, but only time will tell.

This has been such a favourite and loved by everyone in the family.The past year we’ve had some lovely summer days and hours was spent splashing on the pool.Big enough size to have the kids in there with their friends. Even the dog likes it. Made from really thick fabric. Not stretchy so it stays the size it’s meant to. Easy to keep clean and serves its purpose.
