4 stars out of 5. It could so easily have been 5, but unfortunately they cut back a little too much on the plastic thickness for presumed cost-saving reasons. But let me cover everything in detail. PROS - Its at a great price point, its well designed, the soft close lid really does close softly and near-silently. The toilet seat is 'full size' and as near universal as you can get when there's so many different toilet shapes. The hinges are high quality. The grommets fit snugly, and installation is a breeze. The instructions are clear and simple. It arrives well packaged. CONS -sadly the plastic of the seat and lid itself are just a little too thin. You know the kind of slightly-flexible plastic toilet seats you get in disabled toilets sometimes? Its like that. Its just not quite up to normal UK domestic standards. Its so thin that in places where the rubber bumpers are fitted underneath, you can actually see them slightly through the toilet seat lid. Its such a shame, if they had just not cheaped out on the plastic thickness quite so much, this would be absolutely perfect.

Just fitted this and it comes with a link to an english speaking installation video which is very useful. Very easy to install looks very nice andso far seems to be good quality. Quick release function is very useful for cleaning and makes for an easier installI. have nothing negative to say, hence 5 stars.

Great toilet seat. I appreciate the sturdy quality, the good material, the soft close and the good white colour (other seats can yellow too easily). However, we lost the magnet that keeps the toddler seat upright within 3 weeks. It started slipping out within a week, then it disappeared one day - I imagine we accidentally flushed it. You can't get a replacement so we're stuck with a non-soft close toilet seat!

Good quality, worth the money, easy to install.

So, I was stuck between two choices of toilet seat and ultimately went with another product with this as a second choice. This was mainly due to one review which I'll address at the end of my product review. The other toilet seat I chose ended up not clipping onto the fixing properly which meant that I had to reinstall our prior toilet seat and quickly order another. This was despite it having raving reviews. So, I went back to my second choice: the CUQOO Oval Toilet Seat. As I mentioned previously, I was put off by a comment in a review, but ultimately the other reviews and product instruction video won me over; I'm glad it did. ▪️ The seat quality is thick and feels strong enough to support a variety of weights ▪️ The soft close feature - while quite slow - works brilliantly and should hold up for a long time ▪️ The size is perfect for my oval toilet bowl which is on the longer side - the adjustment feature of the fixings meant I was able to adjust the seat to rest in the perfect spot and fit the shape of the bowl ▪️ The seat design leaves a vast space at the back of the bowl which means easier cleaning ▪️The internal mechanism locks the seat in place securely due to the deep notches ▪️The colour is pure white ▪️The installation was a breeze and the seat is easy to detach for a monthly deepclean The negative comment in a review that I mentioned earlier was regarding certain areas of the seat and lid having a notable bump, where the bumpers are moulded in underneath the lid and seat. This deterred me from buying the seat initially; however, they are barely noticeable unless you look for them. I have added a video for you to assess yourselves and you should be able to see that it is only at certain angles or when the light reflects off the plastic, that you can see a slight indentation. I am delighted that I ignored this information as otherwise I would not have chosen this product which is perfect for my needs.

A really decent seat for the money. The plastic seat itself is a bit thin, but not uncomfortable. Fitting was straightforward and the instructions clear - although the plastic lugs that go through the ceramic holes in the toilet are quite large (the ceramic holes in my loo are quite small and not completely round!) so I needed to shave off the ends of the plastic lugs with a sharp blade in order to get them to fit through. Once in though, they were very easy to secure with a single screwdriver and have remained firmly attached so far. The 'soft close' mechanism works reasonably well for most of the movement, but it does speed up towards the end, causing the seat/lid to bang down a little onto the toilet. It isn't a heavy bang - but noticeable. The same is true when the lid is lifted up from the seat - it makes a bit of a 'catching' sound for a second, as if they're stuck together. Again, not a major thing for me, but it might annoy some people who expect a smooth, consistent mechanism and complete silence. Ideally I would also have preferred the seat to be a bit longer (it's 44cm) as although it does fit my toilet, (which is 46cm) it did mean having to move the seat quite a way forward - which exposed more of the round chrome seat fittings at the back. Not a real problem though, as the chrome is fairly good quality, it's just slightly less aesthetically pleasing. Overall though, I think it's a very stylish looking toilet seat for an excellent price - particularly for an overlapping lid type, which is what I wanted.

This is a really good toilet seat. The soft-close feature works perfectly—no slamming at all. It’s plastic but feels sturdy and well made, not flimsy. Installation was quick and easy, and it fits well without moving around. Cleaning is very simple, which is a big plus. Overall, excellent quality for the price and definitely worth buying.
