Exact replacement for my KitchenAid stand mixer
Fixed a non working KitchenAid stand mixer. Works as described. This is supposed to be a "sacrificial gear," so if it breaks in your KitchenAid, something else is likely wrong and should be repaired first. I my case, a screw came loose in the chrome ring around the planetary gear which caused it to jam.

Made to fail
I purchased this gear to fix our KitchenAid mixer based on recommendations from Amazon and Reddit. It was built to spec, fit the assembly, and was easy to install. But, after a couple months of regular use, the gear started slipping, until it eventually blew out completely. I don’t know what material this is made of, but it’s not made to last. I would recommend spending the extra couple dollars to get a Factory Certified Part, and not bother with a knockoff.

DIY Gone Right
After watching a few videos on how to replace the worm gear in my KitchenAid mixer, I decided to tackle the repair myself, and I’m happy to report that my confidence was justified—it went smoothly! Be warned, though, this job can get pretty messy due to the large amount of food-grade grease in the gearbox. If I had to do it again, I’d definitely wear plastic gloves from the start. I had to start the repair twice. The first time, I realized I needed a square-point driver bit that I didn’t have. Once I picked up the right bit kit, though, the repair only took about 30 minutes. Overall, I feel like I saved at least $50, maybe even up to $100, compared to what it would’ve cost to take it to a repair shop. Now, my trusty KitchenAid mixer is back in action, churning out cakes, cookies, pizza dough, and homemade buns with no issues at all. It’s like having a brand-new mixer again, and I’m thrilled with the results. If you’re comfortable with a bit of DIY and don’t mind getting your hands a little greasy, I highly recommend giving this repair a try before spending money on professional help. The RURBRIN Worm Gear Replacement worked perfectly, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!

Decent but Spindle Hole Undersized
Disclaimer, I don’t always match model numbers when shopping. Got this for a Kitchenaid Artisan. Spindle hole slightly undersized. But what is a man to do when the workhorse Kitchenaid breaks down the week of Thanksgiving? If I had time I’d buy OEM. This was fast. Used 3/8” drill bit to size the hole correctly and the mixer is working again. Next time I will buy OEM.

Easy fix for the mechanically inclined
I used this to repair my kitchenaid about a year ago, and it has been going strong since then. Just look for your model on YouTube and it's an easy fix.

Fit Perfectly!
I can't say anything about the durability as this just arrived today, but It seems to fit just right, I was worried about it being too small from the other reviews but it fit right on the shaft like it was supposed to. After reassembling, there is a strange noise but I think that is likely user error and not a fault of the product.

Correct part but had to be ground out slightly with a Dremel prior to fitting as the shaft was too narrow for other gear to fit.
