I bought these based on Runners World Shoe guide for 2013.Zero break in period for me. Ran 5 miles out of the box and felt great. Lots of cushion, but not unstable. I am a under pronator so I have to have a dual density sole like this shoe. I came over from Asics Gel Kahanas size 10.5 and this was a bit larger than those. I know the Asics are a much cheaper shoe, but they worked great for me, just broke down faster than better shoes. I still rotate them in for shorter runs as they still work perfectly. These just have more cushion and the longer runs seem easier with them on.I run off road (next to the asphalt trails in my neighborhood) which includes gravel, packed dirt and some grass. These shoes give plenty of padding on gravel and feel much better when I do get back on asphalt. I am happy with these shoes and have 10+ miles on them now. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great stability shoe for over pronators *by G***N on Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2015* These are the best running shoes I've found so far. They were recommended to me by my physical therapist and by the sales person at the local running store. I'm currently on my third pair.I have a history of shin splints, plantar fasciitis, and patellar tendonitis as a result of flat feet and over pronation. I've run in new balance motion control shoes, and thats like running with bricks on your feet. I went the other direction and ran in newton motions for a while. I really liked those, but that led to a flare up in my plantar fascitis.The newtons really helped with the shin splints and the tendonitis. The design of the newtons really forced me to run with proper form and stop heel striking. But, like i said, they really led to the plantar fasciitis. I started seeing a physical therapist for the foot pain, and he suggested the sauconys. I was hesitant because I liked the newtons so much, and I remembered how clunky the new balances were. But these are great. They're light weight (not as much as the newtons, but a far cry from the new balances).I ran a half ironman triathlon last summer and didnt have shin splints, tendon pain, or heel pain during the training or the race -- ok i may have had some after the race :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Best shoe so far... *by N***E on Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2013* Bought on the Runners World 2013 'Best Of' rating.I'm a big guy with a slow, plodding, heavy pace and fairly flat feet. I jog 6 miles a day over varying terrain from flat asphalt groomed trail to a little over a mile of beside the railroad tracks nasty dirt and gravel.These Omni 12's are great. Very light, very cool. Sizing appears to be spot on. The 11s I got are a perfect fit.The shoe feels very 'fast' to me. I took maybe 15s off my (admittedly fairly slow) mile and have kept it off without having to push.There's just enough support for me to feel confident on solid as well as uneven terrain.The only concern I have is the softness of the sole material...I'm used to shoes lasting 5-600 miles, and the sole's are already starting to wear down a bit on my wear zones after less than 100 miles. So I'm not sure these will be able to hold up that long. Although for a comfortable, fast shoe I'm willing to pay for some longevity loss.=========Update============== 11/14/2013Unfortunately, I have to return and downgrade these shoes a bit.As I was concerned with the tread is totally gone at just under 400 miles. I also have a couple of minor chafe points that are starting to bother me. Ultimately they are still one of the better shoes I've tried since Asics quit making the line I had been using for years. I do like them well enough that after trying a couple of other RW editor's choice shoes and not liking them as much, I've ordered my second pair of the Omni 12's now.
