Clover 482/W Seam Ripper

I was watching a YouTube video and they recommended one of these for cleaning out caught up hair, threads etc from your Hoover brushes. Fantastic tip. Works really well, much easier than scissors as it gets into the awkward gaps by the vacuum brush heads really easily. I’m yet to use it on clothing, but I think it will be very effective as it is rather sharp. Only downside would be the cover for the ripper tip, it’s a flimsy plastic bag like cover. Would have been great if it was made of hard plastic and clipped on. But, overall very happy.

Excellent Seam ripper much easier to use than the small seam ripper that came with my sewning machine.

Best seam ripper I have found, super sharp. However flimsy cover lets it down big time - if you can get it back on! Needs a proper hard lid/cover..

This was bought to replace my ancient blunt picker. This works like a dream, it is easy and comfortable to hold and is very sharp, it flew through the garment I wanted to take apart. Highly recommended.

For years I had one of those cheap little seam rippers with the red handle you get in sewing kits. It was always a battle to unpick anything and so often because i had to use so much brute force with it, it shot straight into the fabric and made a hole in it. The handle kept falling off so decided to stump up for a decent one and oh my god the difference is insane. This feels really sturdy, the thicker handle makes it so much easier to use and the blades glide like butter through stitches. No brute force, no ripped fabric. i am never ever going back to a crappy seam ripper again. i never realised how much of an impact a good seam ripper makes on your entire sewing experience - especially as a newbie and a handsewer who makes a lot of mistakes!

I have owned a clover seam ripper for 20 years. The tip finally broke off recently. So in this climate of ever-reducing quality, I held my breath and ordered another exactly like it. I was pleasantly surprised. You can't tell the difference between the old one and the new one (except for the broken tip). Hooray! Plus I got two more items along with it. Good day for me.

I wish I had bought one of these years ago!! I have done a lot of sewing and always use a Dreitz ripper from a fabric store. It has been adequate most of the time but I could have save so much time and effort had I gotten one of these!! We bought it to rip out some button holes made by a seamstress on a professional machine. It allows you to get under the sewing and rip without harming the material/fabric. Very well worth the money! Saves a lot of time with much less effort!

Great products and helpful all were in a bundle together. Must haves for sewing kit.
