Flamecraft

My husband loves dragons when it comes to like art, fantasy books and fun things like board games. I saw this one and just had to get it for him! The art style is really cute and colorful. We love the little dragons and their names and things like that. We played with 4 people and it was less complicated than some of our other board games! It was easy to set up and understand. I think you could play this with preteens or even a little bit younger if you are looking for a fun family game. It was enjoyable and didn't take too long but wasn't so short that it was boring. A perfect, medium pace and not too complicated game.

There is a learning curve to the game, but it is a pretty game, plays well and it is long, just the right amount of strategy and everyone in our family of all ages enjoy it. With the younger participants, partner them with someone older so they can enjoy having fun with it too! I hear a digital version is coming out on Steam. Good! I can practice and then beat everyone next time at the board game 😂

So many things about this game are so great. The artwork is just phenomenal and we appreciated a lot of the silly puns and names of things, although we could have gone without the "omg" one, the coven, etc. I could see how this game could be a bit much for younger kids, but I do feel that the length of gameplay could be easily modifiable if you simply remove some of the artisan dragon & enchantment cards, and perhaps limit the number of shops as well if need be. Our first time playing took multiple hours, but it even held the attention of our two kids under 10 (even with being by far the longest board game they've ever played), although I think they would have been glad had the game had ended sooner. Otherwise, even our younger kids were able to play on their own and keep up with the rules once explained to them, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The length was the only real stumbling block for them in my opinion, although I will say our older child (age 11) who is more competitive had a harder time accepting how much further ahead the adults were (since there can be a good deal of strategy involved). We bought it on sale, but this is one of the few games on the market that I could justify paying closer to the $40/50 price point when you consider the quality of the pieces, the beautiful game mat, and how enjoyable it was for our whole family. It was very engaging and has a lot of replay value. Win or lose, at the end of the game, we still felt like we had a good time rather than feeling like those who didn't win had just wasted a couple hours. At the end of the day, the quality time spent together was well worth it.

I love the artwork, it’s absolutely cute and the game is very fun, almost cozy, and enjoyable to immerse myself in the world within Flamecraft. I can’t wait to get the other components and upgrades for the pieces because i do enjoy this game a lot

I could see playing this game many times with my children. The directions were pretty lengthy but not overly complicated (I hate reading game directions to my kids then having to admit I don't really understand them). There is even a clarification page that helped during game play. The game had many facets to keep it interesting and lots of strategy options. I can see playing this game many times and keeping my interest. Quality game pieces and good directions. The general concept is that you visit the dragon shops and can either gather (more dragons, goods) or do an enchantment (that you have to plan in advance). Each game could be different shops, enchantments or dragons (there are many cards) so you can play this game many times and it will be unique each time.

Once you learn the games it's very easy. It's not a complicated concept, but it's a very cute and charming game. I enjoyed it and I think it falls in the realm of takaido complexity and point accumulation.

I played this with my neighbors and they requested further games since. I had feared it might be a game for little kids, but there is plenty of adult level strategy. We all liked it quite a bit. To make the game a bit more fun I found unofficial 3d printed pieces online, painted them, and added felt to their bases. The fancier pieces made gameplay a lot more fun.

El juego tiene una estética simplemente hermosa. El arte y los detalles que tienen las ilustraciones, la caja y las tarjetas es inigualable. La calidad de los materiales es de las mejores que he visto; el tapete es contundente y de tela, los tokens no se rompen al desarmarlos y las impresiones tienen buen material. Cada token tiene una bolsita para guardarse y mantener el juego en orden. El modo de juego es sencillo y rápido de aprender, y la duración es suficiente. Da la oportunidad de armar estrategias, y la forma en la cual se desenvuelve permite tener un haz bajo la manga sin que eso haga que el juego sea injusto. De los mejores juegos en nuestra colección.

Este es la edición estándar del juego, pero aún así los componentes son de buena calidad, el arte es precioso y a diferencia de otros juegos este incluye un playmat en lugar de un simple tablero de cartón. El puede que el juego parezca tener muchas reglas por el tamaño del reglamento, pero mayormente son ejemplos de como aplicar las mecánicas, en si es muy sencillo de jugar y la tarjetas de apoyo son muy útiles si olvidas algo. En lo que a mi respecta este es un juego facil de aprender a jugar y aunque es divertido te deja una sensación de tranquilidad cuando terminas por lo que me parece perfecto para relajarte.

I was heartbroken that the box arrived damaged but I love the game. Works well as a single or multiplayer. I still refer regularly to the rulebook for details but it is easy to start playing straight away. The illustration are really cute and the components are well made.
