Great book to learn composition
I bought it a while ago and I love cooking at this book once in a while, also great when teaching private art lessons to students as it talks about composition in simplistic way that is easy to understand.

Simple, accessible, brilliant
This book changed my life. It is the key that opens up the mysterious world of image composition. It does so by grounding the principles in a reality you are familiar with rather than presenting them as abstract, is 'diagonal lines create a sense of movement' I've read it many times in books on art, but why? The answer is quite simple and in this book there ate many of these answers. I loved it.

A good introduction to the psychology of picture making
A good introduction to the psychology of picture making. However, necessarily simplistic and limited in scope. I would have like to see more examples and other art works analysed.

Excellent
Excellent book for kids to learn about so much. Confession: two of my grandkids have this book and I so loved it, I ordered a copy for myself. Very interesting read, although I do skip the page on snakes๐

Simple, clear, deeply inspiring
It doesn't feel like reading a book, but rather listening to the artist explaining her findings and sharing them with passion. Simple spoken language, easy for anyone to understand, artist or not. The principles are so well described, without fluff and unnecessary jargon. It changed the way I see things, literally!

Great Gift For An Artist
I bought this as a gift for my wife, and she loves it. She is very particular when it comes to art supplies, so if she gives a product her approval, it has to be good.

Very simple.
Very simple and basic. Ideal for newbies but a practising artist will find it interesting but a waste of money, in my humble opinion.

Interesting and Educational - very easy to follow
I was recommended this book for learning about composition in art - I'm glad I bought it, it opened my eyes to the ways in which artists can use different shapes, colours and positioning to achieve very different results.
